AMD Athlon 64 2.2 GHz single core with GeForce 7800 GS AGP and 2 GB of RAM. I played on that for a good 3 years and I'm pretty sure maybe 2 other people could have had a worse computer (EDIT: in comp tf2 at least).

That's bad, but really not that bad. My old tf2 computer was from years before when i3 processors were unveiled (I got it in 2004), and I'm sure plenty of people still play on computers like that.

Also according to wikipedia i3 was released in 2010. If that's accurate, you're crazy if you think you're even close to the worst.

I'd imagine it might mean he's using integrated graphics since it usually takes half a gig or so. Still, like you said whining when having an i series is pretty laughable. Plenty of people were playing with single core CPUs at the time when TF2 came out and there's probably still a few stuck on old intel duos or athlon 64x2.

I get barely 20-30 at mids even with max frames config, custom particles (rockets and such) and unusual effects removed. I even use a game booster which shuts down unnecessary programs.
