I want to do some Classic Competitive with some people, just every once in a while hop in a mumble and play, but no one on my friends list really plays it at all.
I'm pretty new to CS, I've been doing classic casual and getting the hang of CS and the maps and stuff, but they're effectively pubs and I don't think they'd be as fun as playing with actual people that I know where we're coordinating things.

I dunno, I pretty much stopped playing GO outside of LANs, it just isn't as fun to me anymore as CS used to be. But I might play a few sometime.

here's an east coast dm server if you wanna practice, also the lobby system isn't great sometimes you will get connected fast other times it just drags ass. if you play in esea and have premium just go pug on client, dont worry if people bitch at you. you pay to play in esea, and you bought the game so go enjoy yourself. if you really wanna get better just keep playing them. and dm a lot.

its like 30 people, very chaotic...its awesome
awp's are limited but if you go for random weapons every time you spawn you can get one, otherwise you can pick what weapons you want for the rest of dm and so forth
just type !guns when you join and you'll see the menu come up

Nice, I might give that a try. I don't want to get deep into comp CS, but I think it'd be fun to play a more organized version than the pubs with friends.

I've played some 1.6 and Source but only casually. Also, all the gunboating in TF2 made my hitscan awful.

I used to play CS 1.6 and sauce a lot. All the new updates are making GO similar to 1.6. Hit me up and I'll play with ya!

In CS, pretty much the only skill that impacts the game is aim(there was Bhopping, but not anymore). You can judge your skill by asking yourself if you hit the guy or not. It's a very one-dimensional game, from what I've seen/played of it. A bit of positioning, but once you know the map that isn't really an issue anymore.
