So, why are Zowie mice popular?

- Best/safest shapes (opinion, but with the EC, FK, and ZA there is shape for everyone)

They're just really really solid in everything and have no extra bullshit

All of the above and they're owned by BenQ now so they have some solid marketing behind them, comparable to Razer or what have you.

They're excellent shape wise, no software required etc. Only way they can be improved is a 3360 instead of 3310 sensor so the tilt slam bug doesn't occur for some low sens players, separating buttons from the shell and (for me personally) adding comfort rubber sides, though not everyone would like those. Those are all minor things though and zowie is essentially still the most popular mouse brand among csgo pros and a lot of tf2 ones as well

the only thing bad about the zowie mice I see, is that for the ZA12 (which is the mouse i have, idk about the EC series) the rubberized scroll-wheel is complete AIDS, however everything else is perfect

I remember trying out a friend's ec1-a a while back and really enjoyed everything about it except for the scroll wheel (as most people have said) and the side buttons had too much travel for my liking. That's just me being extremely picky though

Con: Very high button latency, problems like mouse input latency at different DPI's in many models, not the best sensors, no software (though this is a sell, it prevents firmware updates to address the issues each release inevitably has, and limits customization), inferior mouse button switches to Logitech and Razer.

Really the only thing keeping them up in the leader board is that they have by far the best shape out of all mice, they don't have the best build quality. And the EC series use to be the best mouse on the market.

Because they are good in just about everyway, the only thing im not crazy about is the mushy side buttons.

they have the best sensors. amd they dont have a lot of unnecessary features or branding about it being the most hardcore gaming mouse ever. just a good mouse with a good sensor
