Hi all,

As I mentioned previously, GXL went on hiatus. However, everyone except the GXL CEO (which a lot of people had problems with the guy) have now moved onto their own thing called RGB LAN. RGB LAN is broken up into 3 teams, with each team supporting a charity. This is at the same place as the previous GXL LANs. And yes, there is a TF2 tournament.

Likewise with my role in GXL, I'm still the tournament director for RGB LAN. Registration just opened up. :3

[b]Can I play in other tournaments?
[/b]You may only play in other tournaments if and when you’ve been eliminated from the TF2 tournament. Keep in mind that the TF2 tournament is only on Saturday, so anything you wish to do on Friday is up to you. There are no tournaments on Sunday.

[b]How can I play in the tournament?
[/b]You’ll need to find a team if you haven’t already found one. Keep in mind that the tournament will be 6 vs 6. This thread will have plenty of teams looking for players, so make sure to post here (and don’t forget to include what class you play). If you can’t find a team, there will certainly be pick-up teams made while at the event.

[b]Will there be a buy-in for the tournament?
[/b]Yes, it is $10 per person (or $60 per team).

[b]What will the prizes and payout be?
[/b]1st Place: 60% of total prize pool, 3 month subscription to https://www.ubercrate.io/, and in-game 1st place RGB LAN medals
2nd Place: 30% of total prize pool and in-game 2nd place RGB LAN medals
3rd Place: 10% of total prize pool and in-game 3rd place RGB LAN medals
All other places: In-game RGB LAN participant medals

The prize pool will be guaranteed to have a minimum of $600. This means if less than 10 teams sign up, I will fill in the rest of the prize pool to make it $600.

[/b]The entirety of the TF2 tournament will be on Saturday. It will start at 10 AM.

[b]What is the format of the tournament?
[/b]6 players per team. There will be a group stage (for seeding) followed by double elimination.

[i]Time-limit / win-limit (EU/NA hybrid rules):

30 minute time-limit
If a team wins 5 rounds (or 4 on koth), that team wins.
If the game is tied after 30 minutes, the tiebreaker will be decided by golden cap. If this occurs in group stage, there will be a 10 minute time limit, and if there is no victor by that time, then whoever controls mid is the winner. If this occurs in the double elimination bracket, there will be no time limit for golden cap.
