After winning 1st place at Esports Arena's Rewind LAN, paddie, who has been playing for froyotech since the beginning of 2016, has announced that he will be leaving the team.

The Canadian soldier had a successful year on North America's most well known team, initially joining them for their rebirth after the original lineup disbanded. He earned an ESEA grand slam by winning all three of ESEA's seasons in 2016 (S21, S22, and S23), and grabbed a bronze medal at Insomnia58 in Birmingham, England. He concluded his year with the team by taking the Rewind LAN title last weekend in Santa Ana, California.

I reached out to paddie regarding the reason for stepping down.

I'm leaving froyotech because b4nny and I don't see eye to eye in regards to a lot of in-game strategy, along with the fact I'm simply looking to take a break from Invite and soldier in general. I may come back in the near future if a LAN comes up, play for froyotech again if the team welcomes me back, or perhaps joining a rival team to make things more interesting.

The new world champions will be looking for a sixth player for ESEA Season 24. It is uncertain whether b4nny will be switching to the pocket role on his team at this time.
