I know there's a lot of negativity around b4nny, but you gotta hand it to him, he does help a lot of upcoming talents become top invite caliber players.

So far a fantastic pickup for Froyotech. Results from first match provided sufficient proof that arekk is going to do great things with Froyo! 34-19 impressive fragging!

What if b4nny was actually making an army of top invite players so that one day he may get third place again in esea. #thirdplaceb4nny was an inside job in s20, and will be again.

Froyotech is mass producing top invite players lol
At this rate half of invite will be Froyo/ex-Froyo in a few years

Thats a good thing. More players who are "top invite" grade means a higher overall level of tf2

top-invite isn't an invisible line that's crossed, it literally means 'is better than half-ish/most of current invite'

Didn't mixup used to do the same and people gave them tons of shit? They took the upcoming good players and people gave them shit because no one (besides b4nny's team) could compete with them

there were more upcomers that were on mixup than b4nny's team

is that really so? how many up and comers were on mixup that actually made it? squid and kind of lansky? (he was cut after the season for being shit iirc), while banny teams have had clockwork yz rr lansky (actually good version) indust xalox tagg shrugger muma freestate paddie...

moose/dabes lansky shrew kbk mason squid ninjanick xalox rr indust arctic joe
without prior top4 finishes the banny list (from what it should be) shrinks to rr xalox muma free and paddie, the last three of which banny only really "picked up" because he acquired sm roster
mixup still stays with moose lansky shrew kbk mason squid & joe
so yeah

so yeah
mason got cut week 2 does that really count
squid got 4th on AG
indust played on HRG before mixup
so that's 5:5 discounting top 4
but tbh the 4th best team in invite has always been completely outclassed besides S11 quantic so i think you can still be an up and comer after taking 4th

arekks already established himself as a high invite player after being on a competitive team for 3 seasons of invite and making playoffs in 2 of them
i think most people who played with/against him already knew he was a solid player for a while now
theres a lot of guys like me who were slotted in a 5/6th men on mixup who didnt quite fit in(to the mix ay00000) but some of us ended up figuring out how to play invite on our own
also at LEAST the last 2 season i played invite the 4th place team wasn't a clear step /below people but mb ur talkin about lan
if u wanna talk about banny turning n0names/flops into high invite players mb look at shrugger/paddie/freestate/muma as people who performed at a way higher level w/ him than people had seen before
it's still in the same vein of him needing to replace a player and looking for the "carries" of the lower teams and sniping them (duwatna being the clearest example of this, hassasin a close second)
also big shoutout to 404 and shrugbug (and tlr) for being the only humans to win invite with and without banny
also #9 as long as one invite team plays as much as the next 3 combined they may look dominant but idk if id say it produces a 'higher overall level of tf2'
also when did purpleshirt get good at soldier dude owns now
@avast afaik the dude was mentored by blackymonster and won open but had the same problems as him where if 2 projectiles were being shot at him hed just lose his mind and explode
s8 they looked like a top10 na team while playing in open, s9 they super blew it, lost to visitor then died completely
i guess u could say he was up-and-coming because he hadn't played invite yet

Some say Muma's sill rolling out to mid.

gemmtop-invite isn't an invisible line that's crossed, it literally means 'is better than half-ish/most of current invite'
b4nny gets players and puts them "on top of invite"
said players leave b4nny's team and play elsewhere
b4nny gets other players and puts them "on top of invite", over the previous players who quit
So yeah it could raise the bar over time. But most of the time b4nny players retire and don't join other invite teams, so you could say he's killing the scene too :p

Good players tend to quit after a while, especially if you achieve your goals and win what there is to win in a fairly limiting competitive game where the majority play as a hobby. The best players leave, the second best become the best. Life moves on, TF2 moves on - As long as new players come into the scene, there will always be new, hungry players wanting to achieve in the game replacing older players who have achieved. At the moment new blood isn't coming in at a quick enough rate sadly, but my point stands - The 2nd best will become the best, the 3rd best will become the 2nd best all because the best before quit.

Honestly I'm just holding out until low open is the new invite so I finally can be on top
