European veteran Starkie is finally calling it a day as he steps down from Se7en and his TF2 career after placing 2nd at Rewind LAN in January. He says he is done with the game, and had always been planning to quit after Rewind LAN.

Starkie has had an illustrious career, and has been the star and playmaker of Se7en for over a year. With him, they have enjoyed four ETF2L titles, and have placed top two at four separate events, including the title at DreamHack Winter 2015 and the Insomnia58 crown last August.
Starkie spoke to us regarding him stepping down from Se7en and his TF2 career:
Midway through Season 25 I was certain I wanted to quit. I didn't enjoy the game anymore and playing scrims was a chore. However, I didn't want to give up the chance of another big event. While it would be nice to continue playing; I don't have the motivation to keep playing between LANs.
As for the team, I'm good friends with all of them so I'll still talk to them and cheer them on.
As he departs from TF2, he gave one final message to his fans and to the community:
Stop calling my team slow -.-
Starkie is to be replaced by kaptain, who has sat out of the team for Rewind LAN. He will now be returning to the roster on pocket, as AMS will be moving to the scout spot previously owned by Starkie. This new roster will look to dominate Europe for a 6th time in a row, which would put them ahead of Epsilon in terms of consecutive Premiership wins.
kaptain shared his thoughts on rejoining the roster:
[I'm] looking forward to playing a bit again and mostly towards LANs in the future.
Se7en's roster is now:
- Scout: AMS
- Scout: Thalash
- Roamer: Drackk
- Pocket: kaptain
- Demoman: alle
- Medic: Raymon
