I'd like to give a personal thank you to everyone involved in making this event happen. Playing in the TF2 tourney was some of the most fun I've had playing this game ever, hands down! It was super cool to see all the people that I met irl -- some extremely good lookin gamers in our community!
I am extremely grateful to TheFragile and everyone else involved in the production for making this LAN as absolutely phenominal as it was, and will be attending the next one 100% for sure....despite the 18 hour car ride...

Would like to make a massive shoutout to TheFragile who continually runs this event with class and poise, its always smooth and always the best format possible for the number of teams provided. This event would literally be nothing without him and he works his ass off to get this event going for us so please if you ever get the chance, send him your sincerest thank yous!
Had a great time, anyone I met please add me on steam! http://steamcommunity.com/id/emceeLbp

First and foremost, every single person that attended LAN owes a huge thank you to TheFragile. I don't think it is appreciated by the average gamer just how hard he works just to get this beautiful game representation at these events. I cannot imagine a gamer more dedicated, more passionate about this game than him. Nick's only priority seems to be each and every TF2 gamer having maximum possible fun.
As an example, at the captain's meeting, right as we were about to head to our seats, Nick said, almost more to himself: "With this number of teams we are at $550 prizepool and I promised you guys $600 so I will throw in the rest". Who does that? That isn't his responsibility.
In addition, after my team got eliminated basically as quickly as it was possible to be eliminated, Nick went up to Kevinispwn and said "I want to do something for the teams that got eliminated first, stick around and I'll figure something out". Now I wasn't disappointed in our early elimination and I wanted to go hang out and drink so we never found out what that activity was, but just the fact that he was concerned about the individual fun that some shit team had at his LAN means a lot to me.
Nick, you are the best of us and we don't deserve you. Thank you for everything you do for the community. I feel as if you don't get it enough but know that we recognize the sacrifices and energy you put into this game and love you for it.
Stochastic: for being the same person online and IRL. For the excellent food recommendations and the even better conversations. This was our first meeting, but it cannot be our last.
Gandalf/Gandalf's Friend/June: for riding with me and being good friends.
Goldfish for letting me into his chill hangout and graciously sharing his alcohol.
Everyone that came to the zoo, we need to hang out more as a community like that.
The entire sparkle gang crowd for letting me join into your group.
Spaceghostcoffee for hanging out. Spaceghostcoffee's mom for giving him boatloads of sass and being a cool gamer mom.
Kevin is pwn for making it to LAN. To me it isnt really a LAN without him. The 5am cheesesteaks were a mistake, but I was glad we went anyway. The best memories I have at LANs are the times I spend hanging out with you. Thank you for putting up with my shenanigans.
To everyone who came out: You guys are the lifeblood of this community, and its best humans. Were it not for our consistently great turnout, these events would just stop happening for the TF2 community. So keep coming out, reach out for rides or for a place to crash to make it possible. Together we tend to make sure everyone is taken care of.
I have become terrified of missing any LANs as the years drag on and our small community keeps getting smaller. One of these LANs will be our last and that thought crushes me. So don't delay, don't dodge, don't risk missing out on everything this community has to offer.

first a big thank you to shadowpuppet for driving us ten hours to get here in the snow/rain, thanks to Br0nze/M0use/Goldfish/Radium/June/Mu/Split/Spamfest/Stochastic/Beel/Bopper (and so many unnamed!) for really making my LAN experience an excellent one. Lastly HUGE THANKS to TheFragile for helping me out so much with my tech issues and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves as much as possible. Getting to meet up with teammates you've played with for years is a really amazing experience! Get some rest everyone and see you in the fall! (hopefully)

Awesome group of gamers right here, was glad to put a face to some of the guys I been playing against for so long.
luc would get really hype and be VERY loud. We were sitting right next to them and during our match in mumble:
BLANC: "Do we have add right now? What is our %?"
LOUD Lucrative "I'M AT 70%, I'M AT 70%"
BLANC: "They are at 70%"
funny shit like this was happening, made the whole experience very enjoyable.

I am pretty sure our medic Charis did tell us after that he heard the backcap call. He was the guy you tried to help with the headset/microphone problem. He didn't yell it to us because I think he said he felt it was cheap and its not like a medic can do much to stop it himself.
I totally missed that cap call. Lucky cause I would have tried to stop that shit for sure and credit my gamesense. rofl

Hey, I really appreciate this. But when people come up to me to thank me, I always thank them right back, because if they didn't show up, then all my work is for nothing. Just show up to these events and have a good time, and I promise I'll be just as thankful to you as you are to me.
Also, that bit about doing something cool for the teams that got eliminated first: I had a few TF2 prizes to give away, like a Heavy figurine that has a code inside for in-game content. I wanted to do a little trivia competition or something, but could never get both teams in their entirety at once. After a while, I just grabbed a couple people from one of the teams that got eliminated first and did a little 5 minute trivia thing for the Heavy figurine. They enjoyed it and it was a good time. :)

saamCar broke down in upsate ny, not sure how but I know it's spades fault
I can kinda feel the pain. About half way on my drive to the venue my car alarm went off giving me a bright red message on my dashboard "Transmission Malfunction Service Now". I was so pissed off cause I was unable to go over 40 mph for the rest of the trip and the ride home was fucking terrible. My RPM's were revving between 3-4 and every car passing me at 60+ MPH. Pretty sure I gave about 300 people the finger and a few expletives out the window when they were tailgating me.
During the whole trip home I was expecting that one driver not paying attention to slam right into the back of my car. Even the team drive to Wendy's around the corner was a challenge.

Mad respect to anyone who tried my local moonshine, literally worth every penny. I came to this LAN to have a good time, and I feel like my mission was accomplished. If you saw me at lan feel free to add me http://steamcommunity.com/id/beelthazus/
I can't wait to see everyone again and meet everyone I didn't at the next rgb.

[quote=Ringo__Starr]by request of aim here is the rgb/gxl kick tier list
created by a panel consisting of kev and myself (i placed kev on my own)
if you're miffed about your placement don't be too upset, most of the tf2 players I met were leagues ahead of some of the other games' players and their kicks & no one had on roast worthy shit. If you really think we have made a mistake lemme know what you were wearing on friday night/saturday night and i'll bring it to the panel for revision
if you dont see yourself i didnt meet you or i couldn't remember your shoes sorry
