I really love this community's attitude of helping others by giving out keys/games/advice to each other for free. Even though some people could say "Oh but it's free all it took was signing up with multiple emails" I think it's so cool that someone would be open to share with anyone else who missed out. Think about it; you still didn't get into the beta for some reason and you really want to at least try playing QC, then a guy comes along with 3 keys like "I got u bro" that would make my week

my experience with it has been frustrating hitreg and lots of freezing/stuttering issues. been playing a game or three every weekend but until they get the basics of quake ironed out i'm not bothering to play it

Hit reg is still garbage. Rockets still have shit loads of lag. Zooming does more damage still. It seems theyve done almost nothing since the first beta came out. There hasnt been a single response from bethesda anywhere on the closed beta forums. Hopefully this stuff turns around soon...

stabbyFor people struggling with FPS, the LOD tweak makes a huge difference--doubled my FPS from 30-40 to 60-80!

Set it up the same way you do in TF2:

Regarding the lod tweak am I doing this right? There are two texture filtering LOD options, one for opengl and one for directx. When I change one the other one changes too. Plus sometimes I'll refresh and the values will switch back to something between -3 and 3.

I've noticed a surprisingly small amount of Quake players actually playing this beta. It's been pretty easy to win almost every FFA/TDM match. Hoping some kind of elo system is involved with the final release.
