I admit that I don't know much about the current election, but wasn't the main reason Macron and Le Pen became the two choices in the first place was because Hollande was pretty unanimously hated and screwed any chances of his party doing good, and Fillon was actually corrupt? I still don't understand why nationalism is considered an inherently negative thing. I don't know shit about Le Pen so maybe she was a bad choice but if she was truly voted against because she represents a nationalist party I don't really understand that line of thinking.

Her platform was largely about keeping foreigners out in a variety of ways, you just can't say that nationalism doesn't appeal to people in places like France because they want to keep people of other races out...
