im using a steelseries sensei with 2@1080cpi and when I play soldier I have a bind that switches it to 3@1080cpi.
thing is i heard using different sensitivity values for playing one class or another fucks up entirely my consistency and my games have not been particularly flawless lately.
is it that bad to use different sensitivities? its really problematic to me because i tried to get used to the low sens with soldier but i just cant aim/rocket jump properly, and sometimes aiming with scout or sniper is a pain in the ass because I feel i have leftovers of the other sensitivity. what can u guys recommend?

Having multiple sensitivities is definitely not recommended. Pick something inbetween and stick to it - it might feel icky for the first few days but it's worth it. The sensitivity itself is less important than sticking to it.
i found that when i started using a low sens for scout and sniper, and a higher sens for all my other classes, it really helped my aiming habits with different classes a lot, but if you don't feel like it's 100% benefiting you, you should just stick to one overall sensitivity.
play with higher and stay with it imo, I used to play with 3 on solly and 1 on scout which completely fucked my muscle memory. I don't think it would help your "aiming habits" at all, but even if it did those are much less important than actual muscle memory, which will be completely fucked. The distance isnt even that big, so I don't see at all how you could benefit from the slight change, yet you still have the downsides of constantly changing. Long story short don't do it, I did for ages and my aim would be 100 times better if I just stuck with one the entire time.
edit: doesnt have to be the higher sens, it can be either, I just find that higher sens is better since it gives you more freedom of mouse movement and doesn't really make it harder to play anything, whereas lower sens can make things like rocket jumping harder

Just use the povohat accel driver with high accel and use a low sens. That way you'd be able to have a low sens for tracking and you'd be able to do fast flicks and rocket jumps still.

how do u even track with mouse accel, that just sounds overcomplicated and unnecessary

The built in tf2 mouse accel is trash, but with the driver he suggested you can set up steps so it will be completely fine, but I would recommend sticking with a medium sensitivity and getting used to it

Ever watch pro Quake players?

use a random number generator to pick your sensitivity and leave it to fate
2@1080cpi (7.6"/360) is not even a low sens lmao
train ur little sissy arms

just copy your favorite invite player's sens and you will inherit their aim
Based on your youtube videos it seems like you main hitscan. Go with the sens that benefits those classes and learn to rocket jump with it.

Different sensitivities for different classes isn't bad at all tho it actually really helps, I've been using it for a while and stark used it aswell I think

Pick a sensitivity you feel you can accurately track players with. I suggest doing the quad warmup for 20 mins or so every day and you'll get used to the sens.
Dont copy pro players cuz they have way more experience and muscle memory than you. Just find an inbetween that allows you to play every class comfortably and never change it.
