If TF2 comes to ESL - What would you like to see?

Would ESL be interested in a PUG system or something, might be one of the only ways to catch a big audience tbh?

Why is it that the majority of the conversation with these new investors in TF2 is between the companies and one fucking guy that 50% of us don't like, and all we get to know about the conversation is a vague sentence or two from the b4n-man on twitter? I understand that he probably holds TF2's best interests at heart since it's his income but is it not fucking ridiculous that everything posted in this thread is going to be most likely overruled by the word of one guy, and we don't even know what he's saying.

I thought since ESL was mostly interested in EU, b4nny wasn't really that involved.

b4nny asked the esl dude what esl was planning, the guy responded, and basically said the same thing in this thread

ESL_CitruI understand that some players don't want to hear that if it happens, that we're going to start with and possibly only host EU cups. It's quite complicated, and I can't get into any of the details.

As an alternative, we will use this rule:

Team nationality
In general, during matches of ESL national sections, at all times in-game a team must have more than 50% of its players that are residing in or have the nationality of the country or countries that the national section represents.

In addition, I also understand that if we do use this rule, that ping may not be ideal for some players, but that's where we will start. If expanding is an option later on, we will strongly consider it.

not really sure how this is unclear at all but ok

are u saying that esl was planning to host a lan but banny convinced them not to? rofl

Has TF2 ever had a front page slot on twitch? If ESL could get one for their tournaments it would bring TF2 the much needed exposure.

I think we were front page on twitch for ToTH a few times, so that's something

I think the much needed exposure would be better in game to attract people who actually play the game. I'm not arguing against front-page though, we need more viewers and sponsors.

anyone think the team nationality thing is really neccesary? i think its not really needed and not having it would be better overall since more possible teams could be made in the top level

ESL National sections are stuff like ESL Meisterschaft and ESL UK, don't think that rule is supposed to apply to all teams on ESL.

AdebisiIsn't multiple lans a bit ambitious ? Let's start with one first . One ESL LAN I mean

TF, for the most part, has been left in the dust by other Esports and game titles. The TF community needs to explore new depthsiIf ESL were to take TF2 under its wing; it would open up a world of unexplored esports. TF2 is such a unique game with an even more diverse and welcoming community (excluding b4nny for reasons shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln51NrJG3sc) ESL would bring back so many things TF2 has lost. With the death of IM and the inevitable death of Faceit, we can only speculate as to how long TF2 can really survive. We desperately need more orgs and ESL might be our saving and last light.

Yes it's a great game and should be an esport

That shot at b4nny was unnecessary and unfair really . He's actually been very welcoming to many new players including myself and people I know, answering our endless boring inane questions.

We haven't been able to look much deeper into the situation yet, with the information that people have given us. I will say that plenty of members from the community have reached out to us, explaining how things are being run, telling me how awesome the various competitive community managers are. I would have to agree - they're doing an amazing job!

I feel like I also have to clarify something... We're not discussing and deciding things behind the community's back, together with other community members. I have people reach out to me, offering help and advice, that's all it is. b4nny just happend to be one of those people.

Please try not to speculate too much and come to the conclusion that we treat the rest of the community unfairly. No, we treat everyone equally, and if you want to help us, you can. Every single person that has reached out to me can attest that.

None of the conversations that I have had with the community in private, will be shared by me. That would defeat the whole point. Some people might be afraid that their own opinion may be frowned upon by certain members of the community, which is sad, but very much the reality on the internet. :(

Moving forward, I'm hoping that we can have a more civilized discussion. There's always going to be lemons out there, but let's try our hardest to not be sour. :D
