I got banned from pug.na because I was changing settings on my IRC client and was connecting/disconnecting too fast.

There's a lot to complain when it comes to Aristotle but banning Spadez, Mgib and co for off-classing for the whole pug while simultaneously polluting mumble with their pre-pubescent yells of delight definitely isn't one of them.

I believe it was only a 1 minute temp ban spadez so pretty much a kick (I deleted the ip from records, I dont' think the time limit took). Anyways I understand a lot of people don't always agree with my bans/restrictions and I do make mistakes with restrictions whether it be from misinformation or by simple human error on my part but we just try to keep a place where pugs aren't trolled. It's hard to do because you ban and restrict enough, there is bound to be people pissed off and I'm sorry for that but most of the restrictions/bans were always justified.

Again there are or were bans or restrictions that were not justified by either myself or other admins and we would always address those issues (we are human and make mistakes but it's not excuse I understand that). All I can say is that we will keep trying to improve but if the move to #tf2mix is the one the community wants to make we aren't going to try and stop you, we will just try to provide a quality product and hopefully keep our cash tournaments going with increasing amounts thanks to sponsors.

When I first started comptf2 everyone told me tf2mix is for players of all levels.

Case in point: MemphisVon was in my first ever mix.

every pug i have played with and against mgib has been pleasant even when he decides to snipe

this is highly subjective. just look at Snowy's post. I've also seen indust, harbleu, a lot of IM players, etc.

fact of the matter is that tf2mix is a lot more active than pug.na

tf2mix is more active because there are more people there. tf2mix is associated with new players so more new players play in mix. pugna is slower because there are less experienced players then new players.
