i thought there was a "bring follower back" movement for this season
wareyacroissant is the best unplayed 5cp map

weeblei feel that one person or a board of people should be in charge of the maps every season, due to the fact that the majority of voters clearly have downs
i'm ready to take that responsibility.
also ukm, standin was the worst map to play medic on ever. i can understand why a scout would think it was fun but the medic class is already boring enough, no need to take it out on them even more by making them play standin.
it was obvious cp_ashville was going to be terrible from the start, but the other maps in the vote were just as bad. please consult with invite players before creating the next map vote list esea admins!
FOLLOWER 2012. THIS IS THE SEASON!

i believe 5/8 of the invite teams participated in the item bans, why wouldn't they just vote on the maps as well?

Because they might bring back follower. Letting them pick item bans is a very good idea, letting them pick the map pool isn't because (to my knowledge) many simply don't pug new maps that often.
All the drama about map pools is fun to read but admittedly pointless. No map (with the exception of badlands) is universally loved, some not even by the majority. Just deal with it / be more proactive during voting time.

I think that invite and maybe high IM should of course have some kind of influence on the map pool. With items, everyone knows the items pretty well and there's a definite pool to vote on. Maps aren't the same way. Maybe invites should be in charge of knocking maps out of a larger pool then the smaller pool you get from that getting voted on by a larger group. I don't trust invite alone with the map pool, though, because the maps aren't universally wellknown like items are.
