I don't know what kind of knives you're referring too but I have a pretty extensive cutlery collection from various makers in the US/Europe/Japan; mostly from 51200 high carbon and Swedish stainless steels.
i only own one, but it's pretty nice.

I've been looking up knives recently, I'm pretty new to it as well. I think I'll just have my brother/brother in law (who are military) pick me out one for Christmas so they don't have to pick out some pretty nail polish :P

i once cut myself in the inner thigh while spinning it around. it was a pretty small cut but it was deeper than i expected and it hurt like a bitch
never underestimate a karambit.

Got this fairly cool-ish balisong recently, had it as a hobby years ago but I lost my knife so I'm starting a little hobby of collecting some and practice doing tricks again.

Cant go wrong with Benchmade. There are all the major knife brands and of course everyone says that their preferred knife choice is the best but griptillian line of knives (the one you have pictured) are known as the work line of Benchmade. Definitely one of the more popular ones.

Yeah it is, it's 7" closed, normally they are around 5". I just really liked the shape of the blade, it's more of a nice piece than a trick knife due to it's size, but you can do tricks with it still. Very suitable for major execution of human beings.

HA. i love knives. i used to have many between the ages of 13-17. i downsized my collection. now i have an Ontario RAT folder as my basic situation blade, and a leatherman wave for a multi tool. i have a few other cool novelty knives, my favorite (which actually, was stolen from me, so i have to replace it) is a Van Hoy Snap Lock, put out by CRKT. my first was a little Kershaw, i cut up so many stick with that one. when i was 6 or 7 i sliced my thumb open pretty bad and hid it from my dad for a long time. i dont think he found out.

I love benchmade. Never had an issue. I even found an old auto mini on the side of the road one time, I believe it was about 30 years old. Sent it in to benchmade and essentially got a brand new knife for free. I've had a couple of 940s and they are great sized knives. Not heavy at all. And yep I've got a couple gold classes.
