im a newbie in that kinda script stuff i just want a gud crouchjump script, kay thx
can you seriously not press crouch and jump at the same time
bro holding crouch and pressing spacebar doesnt require a script.
i guess
bind "SPACE" "+jump;+duck"
is what you're looking for
but it really isn't that hard to press ctrl and space, or whatever you have it bound on, at the same time
EDIT: I was mistaken, thanks JarateKing for correcting me

Only the + at the start of a command is properly replaced canceled. You need to alias it so that both -commands run. With this you'll never stop crouching without actually pressing ctrl afterwards.
This will work:
alias +crouchjump "+jump; +duck"
alias -crouchjump "-duck; -jump"
bind "space" "+crouchjump"
Or you could go more complicated such as
https://gamebanana.com/scripts/7982
Though really the only thing crouchjump scripts have going for it, that you don't need to put your pinky in an awkward position, is imo solved easier by just binding crouch to capslock

Just for the sake of discussion:
Mirelin2) Using a jump/crouch script. Is a mandatory. Since you are a medic, you have to move and jump all the time. If you jump and move, it’s harder to kill you. If you want to do a rocket jump, you have to crouch while in the jump in order to fly away for a good range. If you press only space instead of space+ctrl, that means you have more time to focus on better things during healing; which is very helpful. 1 finger = less effort, more time to pressure on other things. 2 fingers = more effort, less time to pressure on other things.
Some people claim that they don’t even need to think in order to press space + ctrl for a solid rocket or sticky jump. Never listen to them; they are nerds. (Mainly talking about medics) Imagine, you are just going somewhere and you don’t have crouch + jump script. You are safe and nothing is about to jump on you. You are jumping, but it will be very lazy for you to spam that ‘’ctrl’’ button on your keyboard several times, in order to make your hitbox change in the air. And now, BANG. A solly comes out behind you, trying to get over your sexy butt. If you just jump, you won’t fly away too far, because you only jumped, without crouching. But if you have jump/crouch script, you will fly very far away. Something like that :D.

It's bad on soldier for some specific rocket jumps like ctaps and jumping without crouch but on every other class I enjoy it a lot because I'm an old man with no mechanical ability. Being able to focus on WASD instead of having to extend an extra finger for crouch while you jump is helpful, and I can't think of a single utility for jumping without crouch as classes that aren't soldier. (I guess 45 dmg sticky jump but I've learned to do it by jumping over the sticky so idk)

Also if you crouch automatically it means you basically surf as far as possible no matter what so if you have low hp you may accidentally go too far and crater (or just surf away from your team and die because they can't save you)

what if you were to only put this in your medic config, so that you are able to retain the ability to jump as demo and solly while having the benefits of the jump crouch script on medic?

thats what I did at first, but it becomes pretty useless because I'm already used to pressing crouch while jumping.

Oh idk, less buttons to care about in a middle of a fight?
In the end it's a matter of habbit, but I switched to script cause spamming ctrl+space on Scout was kinda tiresome.

On a more serious note you have to weight the differences of mechanical flexibility with mechanical convenience. As it has been rightfully pointed out tying crouchjump to a single button is simpler and has the advantage of consistency. The downside is that you don't have the same amount of flexibility for movement, something which I personally notice when rocketjumping.
What really provoked me to stick with crouchjump is the God damned train in Badlands mid, as I'd sometimes fail to get on it because of distractions (finger slipping or slightly incorrect timing and my keyboard wasn't the best at the time). The penalty I get is that rocketjumps, while always guaranteed length, are not as fluid as they could be.
