The end of the ESEA Invite season is upon us. Nine teams began the season, and now only two remain to decide who is the best in North America. SVIFT NA are coming hot off of an upset over Ascent, which broke the team's nine season streak of making grand finals, besting a record previously held by Classic Mixup, who previously held the record at eight grand finals appearances. However, with SVIFT NA having to win 2 best-of-three series to claim the title of North America's best team, their road will be far from easy, as froyotech will only need one best-of-three series win to add their (potentially) sixth straight ESEA invite title and tenth overall invite title to the team's list of achievements. This is it. Can SVIFT NA pull off another massive upset and take 2 first place titles on both sides of the Atlantic in one season, or is froyotech simply above and beyond all other opposition and destined to take their tenth ESEA invite title? Will be interesting to see how SVIFT respond to adversity in this match, I feel like a factor in Ascent's losses to Froyo in GF matches over the years has been the tilt factor of "oh noooo, not this shit AGAIN" and a feeling of powerlessness. Will be rooting for them this match.
