I’ve been drumming and playing keys since I was a kid but never had a clue how to even approach a guitar. I have a trip across Eastern Europe in April though and I wanted to learn something unique and fun to bring along with me. I couldn’t invest enough time to be decent on guitar by the time I left, so instead I just bought this swanky thing today:

It’s a dulcimer. All the frets make a perfect scale so you feel like a genius whenever you play it. I haven’t put it down since I bought it, it’s a blast

I swear to god I've played that exact Memphis with the cracked nut and everything! Memphis's are warriors and to me they are the nokia 3310 of guitars.

got a fender j-bass as an early bday/christmas present a few weeks ago so that i can learn to play, i took guitar lessons when i was like 6 but i dont remember anything
edit: i dont keep it on the floor like that i just had nowhere else to take a picture!!! i really need a stand..
Don't fret, Fenders and Squiers don't have any tilt on the headstock, so you're not hurting it at all. Just don't step on it.
I've recently added these beauties to my collection:
Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro I

tuning is actually p cool, the fretless bottom 3 strings are tuned as the normal top 3 ADG, and the bottom 4 are standard EADG. thinking about doing some downtuning and seeing what kind of cool things i can do with it, it's really fun for switching between more solo kind of playing and rhythm on the fly

This is my ol' reliable (I played flute for a decade before stopping; guitar, piano and violin for some number of years): She and I have been through some shit - concerts, auditions, etc. I was not a good music student.

This is my new addition, for work. It's a pineapple ukulele, which I hunted all across the city for (pineapple soprano with no paint on the bodywork... the paint makes the sound quality really :( ). I almost bought a considerably more expensive salted maple uke because it was the most beautiful instrument I've ever seen and it sounded so warm and rich but thankfully cooler heads prevailed.
I wish I could get back into guitar but my hands are still too damaged for that :(
