people are starting to pull out of these event due to the lack of tournament announcement, this event im sure will be amazing and huge but if you want it to be as big as it possibly can you need to start giving players some information they can actually book flights and hotels off of. Losing people by the day right now

I plan on flying in to LAX on Wednesday and staying at an AirBNB in LA so I can explore Koreatown, etc - if anyone wants to come a day earlier (flights are WAY cheaper on Wednesday), I can likely coordinate with you :)

Down for splitting an Uber to Santa Ana on Thursday, ideally between 1-~3pm (avoid rush hour, after hotel check-in time)

I'm so disappointed :( I sadly have two midterms on the Friday before, and neither prof is open to the idea of me taking it on a different date. I can't miss them, so I won't be able to leave Thursday or Friday morning, and can't play in the open tournament. So, my question is this- how big a loss would it be to miss most of Friday? Is it still worth attending if I can put the money together to make the trip?

Yes, you should go anyway if it's not too much expense and hardship. Watching the invite matches live and hanging out with chill people makes it worth it. Last year a bunch of the Open teams only got two quick matches, but they still had a good time.
There's a $30/day LAN pass to use the computers if you're not on a team. Maybe there will be PUGs. Last year, though, there weren't any spare servers, so PUGs didn't really happen until late Sunday.

Anyone know what time the games start on Saturday (17th) and if there's an incentive to arrive earlier? (is finding seating hard, long lines to get in, etc?)

The venue doesn't open until noon on Saturday anyways. Matches last year were scheduled to start around that time on the Saturday. If matches start before noon, folks will be allowed in then I'm sure.

From what I've observed at two events here in the past, you will not have to wait around long. Finding seating will not be hard. There's no huge advantage to showing up early. I'd say just try to show up for when doors open. I'm sure that'll be announced or clarified before the event.

If you're going to rewind, don't have a team, and wanna play scout 9 am - 11:30 am that Friday hmu and I can register you as a sub. Pie hero is getting there a little late. There's a possibility we won't even play a match at that time but I'd like to be on the safe side :)

Is there a team registration/sign-up for Rewind yet? We've purchased our open team participation ticket. Can't find anything else. Anyone know?

Yo I know it's pretty late but I figured I'd post here just in case. Yight and I land at 1130pm at LAX tmrw and if there's anyone in the area willing and able to pick us up it would be super appreciated. Would absolutely be willing to accommodate you in some way be it gas money or whatever.
If not, does anyone know what the prices for an Uber would be at that time? More or less than midday? Last rewind I ubered from the venue to LAX and it was 50.

Hey wondering if there was anybody that is going to be near LAX around 9:00 am that would have extra room in their vehicle. A friend who was going to pick me up had to dip last minute cuz he couldn't skip his morning section tomorrow. Can pay for gas money if needed. If not then ill prob. just uber, thnx for reading!!!
