Huge props to C9, it didn't even look close by the end. I don't think they can take down Faze, but then again I'd have said the same about this series. Good stuff.

the headsets stop a normal level of sound that you would expect while playing in a studio/small crowd
but especially once a crowd gets loud you can hear pretty much everything

are fair "excuses", a team should never have to play 2 bo3 major playoff series in one day. It would be better to do 2 quarter finals per day, 2 semis in one day, third place decider and grand final on the last day. Not only removes the stamina problem but also the lack of preparation.

I hope Cloud 9 changes up their pick/ban phase and bans Overpass instead of Nuke which leaves it up to Faze if they want to pick Mirage, which is one of C9s better maps since it too is also Fazes best map

However, I do think that a major can never be 100% competitive - if you wanted to provide perfect conditions, you'd let the teams play in a hotel room somewhere in a multi-day round-robin format without playoffs. The majors are as much a celebration of the game and an opportunity to interact with fans as they are a pure sporting contest.
Of course, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't do all in your power to put teams on equal standing, like provide soundproof booths. But excessiveky lamenting some team's results misses the point of the major imo, and the other dozens of random things that influence who wins.
