There's a limit on transfers. If you go to your team it says something like (for me):

It's 4 over a 7 day period, you're committed to your starting lineup for the first week. Use them or lose them, they don't build up

Removing a player from the system is dangerous since if anybody owns scruff everything will go haywire for that person. I might remove him at a later date when I can reliably assume that nobody has him on their team, but until then he's staying in.

Why do players get so many points in golden caps? For example clip got 35 points of 1:14min of gc sunshine, but in the normal game he only got 31 points.

but at the same time it rewards people for picking players in matches they think will be close
although predicting a golden cap isn't that likely, its the same as mercs - you get extra points if the player is in more matches than normal for the week

Alright, so the question of whether or not to include the golden caps is something I've always wrestled with, since there are obvious pros and cons to both options.
I've chosen to include golden caps this season (and for the last many fantasy league competitions) because I really dislike omitting data. Golden caps are part of the game, and arguably they are the most important part of a game, so simply ignoring everything that takes place during this part of the game just feels wrong to me.
Winning the game also also gives you points (+5 points to win a gc) and is generally a pretty big deal when it comes to scoring points. Shouldn't the winning team be rewarded with extra points? I think they should.
On the other hand, golden caps allows players to earn a disproportionate large amount of points for a relatively short amount of game time. It's really easy to get inflated DPM and K/D ratios which can result in someone (like clip) getting a massive amount of points "for cheap", while most other players will have low scores.
Including golden caps also messes with the PPG stats, which bothers me way more than it probably should.
The obvious solution to this problem would be to combine the GC log with the main log and then upload that to the system, but unless you can tell me an easy way to combine logs, I'm simply too lazy to manually sit and combine logs for such a minor gain.

we also need a solution for mercs, if a player who is on a team and mercing for another team, he is getting a lot of extra points.
The first Week 3 game is in an hour and more transfers aren't given for another 12 hours.

The plan for the Rewind event is to run things from the group stages onwards, but not include the open qualifiers. Because of this we won't be able to release the competition until it's clear who is qualifying, so it'll be a tight window for people to sign up in. This is just a heads up that there will be something later today and if you want to participate you'll probably have to be ready to act quickly.
There's not much we can do about it, the lack of information about open qualifier participants before the actual event makes it impossible to include that part and the overall event schedule is pretty tight.
