I just played this game for the first time since summer, and I just realized I cant see through flames
what changes can I make to see the pyro running at me so I can shoot him
Also its pretty obvious flames work differently than before the update. How do they even fucking work? If i just press w and then s, apparently it just bursts like 80 damage?

pyro particles are horribly bugged and function similarly to the bison particle system. the collision models appear to be large cubes but function in a spherical area. hitting 2/16 particles does about 70% maximum dps for some reason, meaning accuracy is virtually unimportant. if you use older dx8 flame replacers it makes them invisible, which i prefer to having no vision.

I may release a mod that is an accurate representation of Pyro's hitboxes if my commissioner gives me permission.

if you mean first person i think you can do viewmodel_fov 0 and r_drawviewmodel 0 or something like that to hide them from obstructing your own view
