It makes my gameplay experience worse and makes players play like idiots because they believe that they should be able healed for 80+ hp whenever they want. Thank you.
everyone who posts in this thread will be downfragged
IDK ABOUT BANNING IT BUT IT SEEMS LIKE MOST OF THE KILLS I GET ON SCOUT ARE FROM PEOPLE STANDING STILL
I once thought the crossbow was too ez mode and therefore should be nerfed or banned (and it was nerfed, but is obviously still nuts)
then item servers went down a few times, and I realized how much worse the game is without it (mid fights in particular)

it's basically a rescue ranger for medic (which is a BANNED weapon) so it should be banned
i feel like, at the very least, the healing on the xbow should be dependent on crit heals
so like if there's an idiot in the middle of a close fight and he gets bowed for 90 and can easily win it then thats stupid
but players at teamfights (like mids) are only going to want to stand still and wait for the beam for so long before they either die (from being at like 20 and holding back defensively) or get decent enough crit heals and the medic's full attention
also im an open player and a onetrick soldier so please ignore my opinions if they do not support the top level of play, thx

i miss being able to run the overdose
made escaping from midfights a lot more fun
now u just hope you hit your first xbow and keep holding s

i don't wanna ban the xbow but perhaps a nerf is deserved
make the other medic primaries not absolute dog shit
1. ban crossbows
2. all but like 3 med mains quit
3. uh
4. uhhhhhhhhh

Speaking as a (scrubby) med main, the crossbow is literally half of why medic is fun to play for me. If it got banned I'd seriously reconsider ever playing medic in pugs / comp just out of personal enjoyment. Not saying I know what's best for the meta or whatever, just saying that playing "w+m1 your team and don't ever die" isn't terribly engaging with such a minimal execution element.
Also, it seems to me that the bow opens up more opportunities for dynamic, aggressive, stalemate breaking play. Am I correct in this assessment? If so, it is a positive influence on the game IMO. TF2 gets stalematey kind of fast, most anything that breaks stalemates should probably be viewed positively

Veccthe game slowed down BECAUSE of the crossbow
Really? I was under the impression it was stalematey before the crossbow was ever added but I wouldn't know, wasn't into comp then.
Do you feel this way because it circumvents critheals?

the more unlocks that are allowed, the worse the game will be
When a roamer sacked in and did damage you could make a play off of damage alone, making the game more fast paced
now when you sack in as roamer and do damage it doesnt matter because the people you damaged will be bow'd

someone made this thread months ago and the answer is if they can be healed by a crossbow then they must not be playing like idiots
Menachem1. ban crossbows

Yeah I remember the days before the crossbow when med mains were non existant.
Oh wait, that wasn't the case at all. Sure some would quit but others would take their place.

But rockets deal splash damage and arrows don't deal splash healing... I don't really see your point unless your team plays off your bomb really slow so the med gets a couple seconds to arrow people
To me, it seems like bows help deep players stay deep and keep aggressing/help flank players get quick heals fast so they are safe until their next kit pickup (allowing them to position more aggressively) moreso than they help a closed in, retreating team

ur not always gonna deal substantial damage to multiple people. a lot of the time pushing off of dmg could be like the demo was hit 200 or something

Veccthe game slowed down BECAUSE of the crossbow
the game in general is slowed down because of healing/uber. If you wanted to truly make the game as fast paced as possible you would remove medic. then the game would be more based on team fights and number advantages and health advantages would be used way more.
personally disagree with this way of thought.

Really? You used to be able to push off one lit player? Weird. I can see how the crossbow would stuff that I suppose
