holy shit mustards list brings back some memories (idk about delpo being underrated tho, maybe he used to be)

connor aka nub_danish was actually mad good at roamer and a pretty smart player overall despite reputation as a big memer (iirc wrech and air didn't want to even try him out cause they thought he was just a troll)
mgib was also super good at the game but never played invite
purpleshirt is kinda underrated, dudes fuckin nutty at the game but doesn't get the credit he deserves imo

ether and midas both have mad potential but don't get a lot of recognition from playing on black swan (midas subbed for us vs svift and played surprisingly well tho)
phlps and kev777 both have mad good dm and played super well this season but they're fuckin gigantic rat degens and play on the animelist meme team so that kinda counteracts it
i also think tojo is also pretty underrated, this season was his first in invite and he surprised everyone and made some crazy big plays and got mad med picks
i think im probably a bit biased tho cause i always chill in mumble with these chimps lmao

edit: shiki also played super well at the first rewind lan and is a lot better at soldier than i thought, never really got to played on that good teams tho

bape s16/17 was very very good

a lot of the players listed are just people self slurping over being able to remember old invite players who were generally liked while not known for their gameplay

theres also a lot of people list who were rly insane mechanically but who weren't disciplined enough/refused/couldn't adapt to consistently play effectively vs 1/2nd place teams which kinda is the crux of being defined as a good player in my book (weeble/youmustmike/slardel/basically all of the people on mustards list who down fall under the former category)

when your entire team and scrim partners are remembered but u aren't :'(

I'll stick up for my scout boys Shootist, Chaaz/Boogie, Zclipse, rb-, and Dante. Yes, he was legit. He trained me up when I was on a team with him. His secret? 36-42" / 360. He doesn't practice in TF2, he practiced in Natural Selection with some oldheads, way faster of a game so when he played TF2 it was cake. That, and even he couldn't beat Yz50 in his prime.

Pretty much everyone now I played with back in the day feels underrated when competition was at it's highest and only a few were the true champions. My rivals in the day were Anonemouse, Moronix (fuk u), Schnell, Weeble, tang, S on my Chest, and squid. Those I can vividly remember at least, feels like we all entered, grew and left all at the same time.
