time for the open cs troll teams to take as long as possible vetoing maps just to give you a ffw
Tino_#bringbackgpit so it can just be banned every week anyways

Also a downside of this is that for new players/teams you have to learn a bunch of maps by the season start. For new players, being able to learn 1/2 maps a week is pretty nice and is a softer introduction for them. I predict in open or even im matches will be lost because it ended up on a map they haven't scrimmed before. Not relevant to everyone but I think it matters

Any body want to form a chaos team where we ban exclusively gully snake and process?
serious take- i only see map bans working if ur doing bo2/bo3s where both teams get to choose a map they play
banning in bo1s into a coinflip is just gonna leave a lot of people sour about not getting their pick regardless of having the 2 days to practice the map + now u have the joy of finding somebody else whos playing the map and will take the scrim seriously while also being around ur teams skill level

The fact that the maps bans have to be done 2 days before means that you will have 2 days to scrim the map you will be playing right before your game. Is this really any different(at least for tuesday games) than it was before? It just means you will probably have to play two maps per week, meaning that the thursday match will be the one with less prep, but even still, odds are the team you're playing against will have had the same amount of practice you did. Imo there will still be plenty of map variety, because if you know the team you're playing against is very good at process/snake/gully you can just ban those maps and play one that neither team has prepared. I also imagine that this system will encourage teams to stay together, which is something that needs to happen imo.
