The European branch of Ascent has decided to fold for the rest of ETF2L Season 30. The team went into the season with a new, fully French roster, but did not find tremendous success, winning only two maps in four weeks.
The team's roster for this season was featuring historic top5rocket members such as Médico and Opti, a departure from the international rosters that composed the team in Seasons 28 and 29.

Ascent.EU was founded in Season 18 under the name top5rocket, and before getting into Premiership, the team was known for their struggle to escape High, losing two High finals and two Premiership qualifiers. Once they managed to get in the Premiership division, they impressed by managing a third place finish in just their second season.
Ascent picked up the roster after their original team for i61 choose to not play after the LAN, and with the pickups of experienced players from all over Europe like credu and Josh, the team found a lot of success, reaching second place twice in two seasons, as well as winning an Essentials.TF monthly cup.
Team captain Ombrack shared a few words on the situation:
We simply decided to stop because we did not have fun when playing. However, it's only for this season; we'll see for LAN.
Before their descent into nothingness, Ascent.EU's roster was:
- Scout: Néo
- Scout: Opti
- Roamer: Médico
- Pocket: Corbac
- Demoman: Elacour
- Medic: Ombrack
