A question for all fellow italian Americans here on tftv. Does The Sopranos, a drama tv show aired on HBO from 1999-2007, portray italian americans in a negative light. Like for example when they pronounce capicola, a delicious cured pork delicacy, as gabagool. Idk about Jersey but my aunt has such a Long Island accent it almost sounds Australian. Seems to be a lot of variations on east coast accents. As for image it can’t get much worse after Jersey Shore. We want justice.
