Gameplay and DM wise he's an extremely strong demoman. Every single time I've played with/against him or he subbed for hlpugs he absolutely pounded. In terms of personality, he's my friend but people seem to either love him or hate him. He's very very vocal, both in terms of coms (which people love) and in general (which people seem to not love as much). When he is actively trying he is one of the best demos I've ever played with. Overall, I'd definitely say try him out for sure, at the very least to see if he's a good personality fit with your team.

Really good demo. I would vouch he could already play in IM. Very strong DM, and I think demos that comm a lot are very valuable.

Really really solid mechanics but hes honestly kind of a dumbass. Sometimes when ur just hanging out with him in mumble he'll make stupid noises and will sometimes say distasteful things and is generally unlikable by people that aren't just like him (or at the very least enable his behavior). He'll say he's just trolling and is doing it as a joke but last time i checked jokes are supposed to be funny. Bowl also isn't really the type to read a room and will just keep rattling off if nobody is responding positively to his tactless "trolling." I find myself local muting him within seconds of him joining a mumble channel im in (and i know im not alone). If you're the type of team whose players hang out with each other often outside of scrims and matches i doubt you'll enjoy his company for very long.

All of this aside, he is a very fast learner and he will only get better, not to mention he has a very strong presence in comms, which makes him a valuable asset to teams lacking vocal callers. A strong pickup if you don't mind his eccentric personality.

edit: By the way, I fully believe bowl is capable of being an all-around great teammate, as I have had normal conversations with him before without it devolving into a meme cesspool. He just has to get his head out of his ass.

He practices a lot and (i think) cares a lot but be warned you will need the fortitude of a saint not to local mute on contact

in bowl's defense I find his simian grunts almost indistinguishable from the rest of the hl pug rabble

Despite what people say about bowl he most definitely cares about and take the in-game environment seriously. From my experience playing with and against bowl its clear to see he's at the very least mid-im capable dm and gamesense wise. If you can manage to get past his somewhat abrasive personality he will definitely prove to be not only a great demo but a great teammate as well.
