Class Hours Erased?

I went into some dodgeball server and all of a sudden all my tf2 class hours are reset. Did this happen to anybody else?

I've seen this happen on Mario Kart servers, but never dodgeball. Also haven't seen it happen for a few years. Friend of mine had it happen to him, and unfortunately he was never able to get his stats back. No idea what causes it.

I've heard cheaters were able to do that, I assume it was either that or a server plugin replicating that

afaik SAM cant restore ur previous hours, only overwrite them, so if u dont know what ur hours were...
and i dont remember that feature properly working either

my stats got a clean reset awhile ago randomly too, didn't join any custom servers afaik. But then it gave me a completely new set of stats? (which i still have)

It reset for me when I launched the game when steam was down for maintenance on Tuesday
Any classes you play during that time override what steam has saved, resetting your hours; any classes you do not play during that time are restored to what they last were according to steam’s last backup

i forgot i made this thread but i have an update.
about a week after my class hours were reset my engie and medic hours were back to what they were before.
(and nothign else)
strange bug.

There is a secret program that can edit or change hours that i know of. I can't reveal it though the fbi man will get me.
