The Asia scene still has time to set up their own trip if they want.
Australia too, which I believe is in some sort of stage of work. If you believe in the OZ, hit up your local representative.

How does this campain work? I know if this was kickstarter if you don't raise 10,800 you would get no money at all; if this campaign fails do you still get my money? regardless I just donated 30 bucks. Good luck I hope this works out.

For Indiegogo, there are two options: Fixed Funding and Flexible Funding. Kickstarter runs on Fixed Funding. Flexible Funding means that even if we don't reach our goals, we'll get our money, but at a reduced rate (Indiegogo takes 9% vs the 4% as in both Fixed and a successful Flexible Funding fundraiser).

Indiegogo is down so I have redirected i49.tf to this article in the interim
aykarinCan't wait. Will be my first ever LAN - and to top that, my DIV 6(!!!) HL team are booking to go to it!
play your heart out! Don't be too sad when NA destroys on the main stage again ;)

I've never been to a LAN before but I haven't been in a tf2 team in months and probably won't be until Summer due to not having enough time and sometimes being on a team is just too much work... I was wondering if you guys think it's still worth going just to meet all of the people, see the live matches, for what they call "the atmosphere that you have to experience"
Waddaya think?

If you have any friends going that you can sit next to, do that. Or just join a mix team.
MastYeh mix teams are good. Did that for i48
Sorry but could you explain what a mix team is? sry 4 nub question

There will be a list of free players who can make teams at the event. A mix team is just a team of free agents.

So you're saying it's completely fine to just turn up and expect to get onto a team at the actual event? Sounds like an awesome idea to me
EDIT: (no sarcasm at all)

Added 125$ for the yanks. Might be contributing to the damnation of the EU teams but i want the best TF2 matches possible in i49. I'll still be rooting for Kaidus though ^^

As long as there is no Gravelpit at the I49 final (biggest bore of I46) i'm sure it will be a thriller

I thought that last year the americans actually showed us that gravelpit was NOT as boring as we always thought it was

My one gripe about the finals last year was that Arx and Beta got bitchy about Gravelpit and it ruined that part of the cast. A lot of really interesting stuff was happening but the tone of their cast was pretty much "Gpit sucks."
Tornados, there will be threads about signing up for mix teams before the actual event occurs.

I was hoping you'd cast that/with them :/
Any chance to get some casting from you this year on i49? :o

@tornados2111, it's my first lan too. I'm going mainly to meet people and have a laugh; getting to play tf2 with cool people is a bonus
As a wise man said to me when I was still unsure, "Do it m8."
