How do you like to spend your time on buses/trains/airplanes? I'm this train right now and this internet is pretty limited.
then stare out the window and get lost in the sites and my mind
Shit. youtube, pandora, and last.fm are all blocked on this train.

if you take the train regularly, invest in an ipod or any other mp3 player. Ive had my ipod nano for like 6 years and it made riding the bus to school everday actually bearable

If I can find a way to get pirated music on my ipod. Then this could be a temporary solution until I buy it.
EDIT: Slow internet, but yeah, I'll do that at home.

Music/staring out the window is the best. I have ~3 hours of transport every day so I do have plenty of free time to just listen through albums.
In NYC, I like to people watch a lot. Especially on the Subway, people can be really interesting. Or if you see someone cool, just strike up a conversation (of course, only if they want to lol).
When I was a wee lad back in ye olden days, I used to pretend there was a fat man running and jumping over the various obstacles I saw out the window. That kept me pretty entertained.
I put tv shows on my ipod and just watch them. Great way to waste time. You'll likely need a video converter for this, however, and not everyone is willing to go through that hassle.
Otherwise, still having to endure school, I do all my required readings there.

Read a good book, once you get into it the time flies.

From personal experience of finding the cheapest flac-compatible mp3 player possible, I would recommend buying a phone with an expandable microsd slot, then you can just download a media player app that's flac compatible and also get like 40 gigs of music space for a cheap price; also it's less shit to carry around

Seriously just google the song you want and add mp3 to the end. e.g. "ghosts n stuff mp3"
sites like beemp3, mp3skull ect are all good. The problem with torrent is they don't have everything you'd want well seeded.

Go to one of those youtube downloader sites and get all the music you want
Perfect moment to listen to freshly torrented music.
Except the fact I'm using ATH-M50s and they're huge and considering everyone is either using Apple's earbuds or Beats, then I get some really odd stares.

I still have my old 160gb classic, best ipod. Just have lots of songs/shows/movies on it for whenever I'm bored/waiting. I'd say buy one of those used.
