How do people play with a slow sensitivity?

I think it just depends on what you started out with and got used to
I literally didnt have a desk for my first year playing tf2 so I was always fast. Still using 3.4 ingame @ 1200 dpi even though I now have enough desk space for some Sezco-type sensitivity. I'm sure if I had that kinda space from the start I'd be some slow sens degen too.
I also refuse to use mice lighter than 100g whereas I notice slow sens folk like really lightweight mice
