lol if only... I change interp like I change socks, but I always keep it within the 0-.1 range, so I never discovered this. In fact just until the other day I was unaware you could change interp_ratio by decimal value. I always thought it was either 1 or 2 :/
and everyone laughed at me when I kept telling them to check their interp
the 1800 deathadder is widely considered one of the best sensors you can play with it, I agree... many people also like the minimalist/smaller shape of the kinzu, and thus the kinzu adder was born
I don't like the dark gray boxes behind the health and ammo, I get the idea behind it but it blocks out a portion of what you can see... even if this won't effect game-play too much, it makes the hud pop off the screen, creating a hard break between game and overlay (essentially creating two different fields the eye needs to scan over)...and this I feel collapses the minimalist theme you were going for
everything else rocks
You burn more lifting weights than most cardio. If she is going to do cardio have her do it last, and only use the elliptical/stair-climber/tread-climber (best). Treadmill's are high-impact and that kind of running can really stress the body not to mention if you ever look at a serious runners body it is usually gross, lanky, and boxy. The 3 I mentioned are low impact and will burn more calories anyway. (and they all help tone the butt)
It's easy to lose weight, well the idea is easy, it's just calories in/calories out. If you take in what your body naturally burns off a day (for her probably like 1800-2000) You will be at 0 calories net gain for the day. Add exercise to that...BOOM weight lose begins.
1 week rule is always in effect. Work out tonight, dont expect to see any signs of anything till next week. Eat a tub of ice-cream and 3 donuts, cry yourself to sleep next week when the scale numbers rise.
Most girls shy away from weights because they say they don't want the muscle look. They will never get the muscle look unless they are hardcore weight lifters. Weight-lifting is something every girl should be doing, and if you ever see a serious banging girl at the gym watch what she does, she'll probably do some sort of cardio but she will be all over the place with weights machines and core training
That brings us to core. Not abs. Core. Google the kettle bell and workouts for it. Most gyms carry them, if not they are relatively cheap (like 20 bucks for a 15lb which is probably heavier than she'll need anyway). Kettle bells will provide the weight-lifting quotient and the workouts you do with the kettle bell tend to target core to. You can add some ab work after but don't go nuts, and never use machine with weights for abs. You don't want to add ab-muscle, you want to lean and tone whats there.
In short:
- Count calories (it's simple math) and don't go over 2000 in a day
- Kettle Bell Circuit training
- Lunges, Reverse Leg Curls (great for a girls hips/butt)
- Low-Impact Cardio
- Light Ab work (every 2nd day)
I mashed my hands into the keyboard for this post and didnt really spend time to reread anything, so I hope that is coherent.
my boss literally said at work today "like me in the Armani suit, should get down on his knees and fix this shelf"
He was not alluding to the show, and did not know why I was laughing.
C'mon!
I really like the no crosshair + damage numbers on the scout clips. The lack of crosshair kept it cinematic but the damage numbers showed you were beasting it.
#7 nailed it, I went ahead and thought out some tags for you all. I narrowed it down to 2, you decide:

or

# 10 is true
Without getting so technical, smooth does what it sounds like it does and will smooth the way you see the player model. In this way it is not so different from interpolation, though of course in terms of what it does within the engine, it is different. That sounds really dumb and confusing so let me just say my reason for adding to the conversation, which is that there are benefits to playing around with these commands, even if small.
ex: If you weren't worried about rockets appearing slow and delayed you could set interp to default (.1) and smooth to default (1) and you would have a much easier time tracking scouts movements when they were up close (visually, I mean).
Peoples PC's and monitors are so good now that this isn't a big problem anymore, and for obvious reasons people want interp low (0/.02/.3) and smooth off (0) for hit-reg purposes (what they do see being the closest representation of what it is they are trying to shoot at). Still with the way most competitive cfgs are set up, players are exposing themselves to the most disjointed visual representation of a player model that they could see. With a good connection, a good PC, and a good monitor this is no big deal.
However if you have an old PC like me and you try joining a crowded pub, comp settings will not work best. An interp closer to default and playing around with smooth-time will yield a better playing performance... the server will feel less choppy and you'll likely notice more registration. Now this, you might say, has nothing to do with a 6v6 game but it is symptomatic of a larger problem — that being that when you gain something you lose something else, and sometimes it's best to meet somewhere in the middle ground.
At the risk of coming in and ruining everyone's happy understanding of the way smooth is working for them, let me back-track and say that your settings are likely not effecting how you play. Experimenting with smooth (I only ever toggle it from off to on [0 off to 1 on] ) can be interesting and if your PC or connection isn't the best, may be preferable. Counter-intuitively, I have found that turning smooth back on (cl_smooth 1) can seemingly help hit registration when scouting and sniping against other scouts. So it is up to you to experiment and decide what is best for you.
had the same problem, still have it, and its worse on medic...its only started after the pipe update
this rando thread: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/8143/1#post-119850 seems to discuss the same problem, i followed the advice there and it helped somewhat but i still get massive stuttering from time to time
...but dont worry because the game loads quick now, so that makes everything okay guys
#12 is my favorite person in this thread
I really like the Cbear/Sal combo or the Admirable/DJC combo. Two different flavors of casting that is really enjoyable . . . but by no means ever Cbear/DJC.
^ probably wouldn't have happened if you allowed snipers in DM
Glad you are okay. This might be incredibly weird, but I dreamed of you last night. I'm completely serious. I woke up and said "why the fuck did I just dream of lange." You were over my house and you were fixing my shitty computer. No, I don't know why. You didn't say anything. You were just looking into my dusty machine with a flashlight and shaking your head. Then I woke up.
Anyway, nasty crash. I was T-boned around 8 years ago going left at a busy intersection also. My car was really low to the ground so thankfully the frame wasn't compromised and the passenger sides did not cave in. Thank God, my g/f at the time and her little brother were in the passenger side seats. It ended up being 100% the other guys fault and I didn't pay a dime. Glad you are okay man, keeps the dream of you fixing my pc alive.
