PGL has awesome production but they over produce in some areas. They give great overhead looks and great second cam looks, but they toss in this weird rotating camera smooth which always reminds me of a plane about to crash into the ground. They have a lot of neat tricks, but I think they are a little too excited to use them any chance they get. It distracts from the game at times, in my opinion.

Spoilers are regrettable, but this is the hub of all things comp tf2: the 1 place you should be avoiding after the scenes biggest LAN. I can sympathize with trying to remain spoiler free but I wouldn't expect to go to mlb.com after the World Series and not expect to see who won it plastered all over the site. Next time waiting for the vod would be the best move.
Forefatherpark bus for 28 minutes and 20 seconds then cap with 1 second left
holy fuck
It's the new meta.
Will always be Mabla in my great big tiny heart.

How about a "Valves Game" with invite players. No class limits, no weapon bans. Get 12 high level players and let them come up with whatever they want. Precursor to Match-making.
Donation incentives: hosts take shirts off
JasbuttsI did make a purple version actually, and I had one with blue sparks as well, but the one you see now is what got approved.

You would think felony charges and jail time would be enough not to DDoS. Why risk ruining your future?
kirbyWait, did the TF2 beta become invite-only with the Gun Mettle update? It's not in my library anymore.
I think it's packaged in the game now. Click on the "Play" button in the TF2 startup menu, then check the box in the bottom left that says "include beta maps"
marioSame goes for match making. If we bend the rules of 6v6 to conform to Valve's idea of TF2 we aren't really introducing them to the same competitive that we have come to love.
For people that make the MM argument: If we want to make 6v6 more like pubs we should change pubs, NOT the other way around. Anything else is just a waste of time.
I think you are missing the bigger picture here. When VALVE releases MM it will eventually be a success or failure (in terms of revitalizing the game). The comp community wants it to be a success so that heaps of people will care about a structured form of TF2, thereby bringing support to our game in a similar (albeit diminished) way CS and DOTA have support. If at such a time, the comp community's dreams come true and MM is a success, the success will be in the MM version of structured TF2. Not our current 6v6 meta. The 2 can probably (and ideally) work to meet somewhere in the middle, but if this community decides "Valves Game" is too foreign from "our" current meta to be taken seriously, this community will be left by the wayside. Players will quit. 90% of the scene could quit and refuse to play, and it wouldn't matter. If we are pulling for MM, and MM succeeds, then MM is the new meta, the new 6v6, the new comp.
I don't think people realize the cake they're trying to hold on to is the cake they're also trying to eat.
There needs to be more open arena stlye maps with less building structures in the middle and more architecture made for movement, rocket jumps, and bank passing.
It is currently just invasion ctf with passing. Engineers ruin the pace of the game. If there weren't jump pads and the ball didn't give hyper speed, a team could control the ball, regroup and plan to attack the defenders. That could be a proper game mode. However since the ball does give speed, and their are movement aids all over the map, you get this really weird pace where some players can get back and forth super quick, the ball carrier usually out paces his teammates, and the increased movement is neutralized by a base set up at the opposing spawn.
It seems caught between wanting to be 2 things and ends up being no thing, just a pub with a ball instead of a cart/cp/flag. It is still in beta, so hopefully the pacing is ironed out and better maps are produced to better house this game-type. Sentries are a bad mechanic for the game unless you wipe away the movement enhancers and make it strictly invasion ctf. A crossover between this and the mann power perks could also be interesting to explore.
plot twist, MM is 6v6 Pass Time
