#14 Half-Life Deathmatch: Adrenaline Gamer in Other Games
Twiggyis there proper item control with timings in this game or is it 100% mechanics like tfc? I watched the start of v!s game and you only ran some armor packs + rail ammo is that right?
I'm under the impression that you see your opponent even less than in a quake match, and damage output is ginormous relative to what you can tank. Not a game I would play. I'm getting destroyed fast enough in tf2 already

Also can charged rail oneshot through walls?

1. Item control comes in the form of mostly weapons. In Quake your goal is to control RL, LG, RG, and GL, mainly. In AG you want Gauss, MP5 (and MP5 nades), Shotgun, RPG, Crossbow, and Egon. There are two pick-ups you can control, too. The Long-Jump HEV addon (It lets you do a mario-styled leap forward) and Armor Batteries. Armor is extremely crucial, 30 Armor can make the difference in whether you live or die in a fight. Two more "pick-ups" come in the style of health and armor recharge stations. Most of the time its best to just dog your opponent and get as many kills as possible, even on the verge of death it might be a good idea to just "kamikaze" at them.

2. Maps are very different in Half-Life. Some maps are HUGE like boot_camp (the one in v!s' video) and you have to be careful what fights you take, and its what I call the PUBG style, where you gain more nerves from anticipating a fight that you never know when will take place. Then we play literally CS size maps. Super tight corridors and small rooms where pure chaos rules. Then you have great in between maps. I would say maps are either aim based or positioning based or movement based, and the mix allows for wonderful difference in gameplay. It always feels different while feeling familiar and the same.

3. Damage output is insane but its all about those split reaction times, quick thinking, and ability to adapt to what your given. You have to hit your shots, the game does not baby you for missing.

4. Yes, it can.

VisMouldVisTo play this game at this level requires tons of hours of grinding, though I'm pleased you showcased bulgarian as an example, Worldspawn.
I feel insulted you didn't put a video of me though

I kind of can't believe someone would go from playing this madness to mge

don't you kind of feel sad about the lack of complexity
Cheaters started arising, and not enough evidence were collected every time for them to be banned in the league, EHLL (similar to ETF2L for TF2), even though it was more than obvious. We've talked with Worldspawn, who is considered one of the best players in the game, that people randomly become insanely good out of the blue, with the most suspicious plays ever.
I don't feel sad.. rather nostalgic given that I lost quite a lot of my skill in the game.
But I didn't win any money out of it, while I win something every now and then from TF2. And this community is much better, even if it seems rather toxic at times, much better compared to theirs.

Yes, I have noticed the community is quite meh. All kind of stuck up arguing over who is the best because they've all had such a long time to master the game and having major egos for it. But, the game is still fun and it'd be cool to just get some new players so its less toxic. Play with people we know, yknow.

I have watched your demos before! I did not know you played TF2. When I found AG I was watching demos from sacrisant and thats what made me play. Very cool! Yes of course it takes grinding but I'd like for a bunch of novice players to play against each other, like myself and others who would play. Its better than getting stomped by all decent players.

#1 Half-Life Deathmatch: Adrenaline Gamer in Other Games

Wanted to spread some awareness for a really fun and different game/mod of Half-Life called Adrenaline Gamer. Its a very unique modification to HLDM that allows for bunny hopping, more skillful gunplay, and easy configuration of servers for gamemodes and such.

It's simply the bastard cousin of Quake but imo its a wonderful hidden gem of an arena shooter and its extremely unique in style and type.

The US scene is all but dead with the only regular players being myself and three others I know of. The game has a strong Eastern Europe following, so, I was hoping maybe some Americans would wanna game.

I assume many of you have Half-Life 1 so all you gotta do is install this free mod >>>>> https://openag.pro/ <<<<<

If you want some footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sZb7QPj-AM&;
Here is a game that recently took place for a 50k ruble tournament.

If you actually wanna play add me >>>>> https://steamcommunity.com/id/blaine_ <<<<<
And we can play some fun games. Duels are fun but teamplay is also extremely fun because of the map sizes, CTF as well.

Hope y'all consider joining! Thanks.

VisAdrenaline Gamer revolves around EU mostly though (Turkey to be precise), is this NA only?

Right now all games will be US only UNLESS I can get someone to host EU pugs for games. I have bought a HL1 Server for AG, CS 1.6, and other HL mods, but it is based in America only.

#1 The Midnight Special Pick-Up Group in Other Games

Hello TF.TV!

http://jacksharman.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Midnight-Special.jpg

I wanted to make a thread to put out a word about a new PUG group I made called The Midnight Special.

This is not a TF2 ONLY PUG group. This is for many games! Essentially, its just a group for hanging out and playing unique and different games in an organized fashion. I would call it a casual competitive environment!

Basically, this is how it works:

- A game will be picked. (Mostly FPS's, for now, of course.)
- An announcement will be posted, telling which game will be played and minor details. (Example: TF2 Pickup! 6's) OR (Half-Life 1 Deathmatch, FFA)
- You'll join the Discord (IF REQUIRED) and the game.
- Enjoy some fun casually competitive fun!

Some games that will be played ARE:
TF2
Half-Life Deathmatch (Adrenaline Gamer Mod)
Quake Champions
Counter-Strike (1.6 and GO)
PUBG
Terraria
Minecraft
AND MANY OTHERS!
If people want to play a specific game, it can be played! Just request in the discord and it can be done if there is a decent demand for the game.

LINKS:
DISCORD - https://discord.gg/8MPtnH
STEAM GROUP - https://steamcommunity.com/groups/MidnightSpecialPickUps

I know this isn't very formal but the group isn't supposed to be extremely formal. Its just a chill environment for fun and some gaming.

If you got any questions, message me or respond to this thread. I'll reply!

Thanks guys, hope you choose to join. Bring your friends, too!

NOTICE
If anyone would like to help with providing servers for games, talk to me!

Quake is the closest thing to it but Quake is TF2's grandfather, so, probably doesn't count
