I don't have a problem with the game being class based, its just that I'm worried it wont be skill based. I would much prefer it be like the old days and everyone be the same, but, y'know, corporate greed. If It's at least TF2 level skill based, I'll be happy.
** EDIT **
When looking at the trailer, you notice that Ranger picks up a players dropped Lightning gun. This game isn't "Class based" In the sense that there are load outs, it just says that every character has unique abilities, so there's some hope :)
