#57 Can someone explain the benefits of playing ESEA? in TF2 General Discussion
BeersyA special thanks to slicerouge, who, even though I didn't mention names, had to be misinformed or skew the information in his post, and try and make me look bad. Best of luck to you in IM!Beersyeven though I didn't mention names

Yeah because people who scrim their team, people who do demo reviews for members of the team, people who can look up my newbie team in the newbie mixes drive thread/steam thread, people who can look at your own esea history aren't gonna know who you are talking about and judge those players accordingly.

Beersyand try and make me look bad

You just blatantly lied about your situation on a public popular forum making your ex-teammates look bad for no reason and I called you out for it.

BeersyBest of luck to you in IM

Thanks, Best of luck to you in UGC Steel knowing you threw away a team dedicated to improving, A free dedicated mentor that wouldve helped you improve drastically, because your toxic attitude and ego got in the way.

Brimstonethis has been a psa, please be more creative

most of us are not talking about open. we are talking about sniper in general, especially at higher levels

edit:someone make a thread so we dont derail open thread further
(unless this is a tactic to get more posts on the open thread)

Rainnjust bomb me or everyone peek at the same time i cant kill all 6 of u lolSpaceGhostsCoffeethe amount of times i see teams get rolled by snipers while the soldiers sit around doing jack shit is actually mindblowing

in both of these situations you are pretty much guaranteed either a net kill or a trade as the sniper. the non sniper team bombing a soldier in means that the soldier is taking a percent chance of actually killing the sniper, many times the soldier wont be successful. When he is he dies right after to the sniper's team. This means the team without a sniper cant push or anything because its an even trade and effectively a reset. Then the player can just come back up on sniper. its the same for spy. in most situations using a spy to get a sniper means the spy will die right after and still has a chance of being spotted early, being heard, etc.

"all of you peek me at the same time" is another bad argument because you just shoot one of them without putting yourself in any danger and instantly create a player advantage for your team. you dont even have to headshot them you can hit someone for 150 and call it and your other scout can pepper that guy a few times from a safe distance and he's dead.

The only viable counter I can see is battalions backup which is an incredibly situational weapon and you have to build it up first meaning you have to peek the choke which means you run the risk of getting sniped many times before you get the banner.

#42 Can someone explain the benefits of playing ESEA? in TF2 General Discussion

Beersy's first team was my Newbie team which btw despite huge roster issues is still alive and trying hard to improve with much more stable people this season.

1.) You tried out for and agreed to join the newbiemix team.

2.) Roster instability was and has been a big issue for this team. Treatz despite any shortcomings as a leader (who is leading for the first time ever btw) has assured to try his best to get replacements and subs to the absolute best of his ability. He maintains an open nature and takes feedback from me when it is given and he is literally the only reason why their team is still alive. However many of the teammates stated when they would not make it and subs were found and used. Sometimes treatz just couldn't get a sub in time for the match, hence a 5v6. However I don't think you get to complain about this as you were also gone many days. whatever the reason may be. One of the matches treatz had to forfeit loss because you were missing and the team didn't want to play 5v6. Tanuki's grandmother was in the hospital and he was still willing and able to play the match despite us saying it was ok for him to miss because he knew he had a responsibility to five other people to play the match. Do not make their team out to be some bad teammates with no regard for others.

3.) The reason you were kicked and treated like shit from what ive gathered is that you complained about things that you would do and that you were very toxic and whiny during scrims and quite honestly the rest of the team was sick of it. Honestly i should've done a marxist and put you in your place, but Treatz told me to not because you would be immature about it and it would piss everyone else off. You were not above anyone on that team in terms of skill level yet you complained the most out of anyone on that team. Dont act like you were some saint and that your team shit on you or something. this was definitely not the case. I wish i could post the toxic stuff fromt he discord but treatz deletes all the toxic messages every time to keep as little toxicity in the team as possible.

4.)Ok so those players didnt show up, that isnt esea's fault.

5.)As marxist said ringers always create animosity and complaints and its better to not have ringers in general.

also my first season of open I was on 3 different teams all of which died before season end. And here I am much improved from Season 23 on an IM team enjoying playing tf2.

#239 faceit is killing na tf2 pugs in TF2 General Discussion
gemmIf you dont get picked on pugchamp regularly it means there aren't enough players around your level to make you worth a pick over someone who's far better. it's not a circlejerk, it's literally good people picking good people"

Uh, it kinda is. Many captains will just not pick a better player because they don't personally like that person or they wont pick a better player because they have a friend added up. On top of that captains will even make agreements to fatkid players. Certain players are pretty much blacklisted to be played with because of memes and shit. Milan is a good example of this. In tf2pl where the team is supposed to do whatever it takes to win and there's elo on the line Milan is generally a good pick but on pug champ many will avoid picking him even if hes the better player because of circle jerk or personal reasons. Another example ive seen is RktKing picked above multiple invite and IM meds because of circlejerk and meme. Again i still think pugchamp is a better system but dont say this doesnt exist

#87 faceit is killing na tf2 pugs in TF2 General Discussion

I agree that faceit is a worse platform but i also believer that pugging on faceit will provide benefits long term. With that said there was this post which I think sums it up quite nicely on a previous post.

#94 What would a team of 6 yous be like? in TF2 General Discussion

scouts: preemptively coming offclasses to cheese a win through whatever they think slicerogue pocket and slicerogue med are calling. especially scout 2 who likes to come up engineer and put sentries in dumb place and build a level 3 teleporter.
pocket: Constantly trying to push odd situations and dumb adds that no normal team could push off of and main calling expecting the team to be in and then die because he didn't give his team enough time to react to the call.
Roamer: Constantly trying to get behind an flank but not hitting any of the rockets once a flank is achieved. Constant feed and requesting that one of the scouts go engi so he can sac more in less time.
Demo: runs loch and load and quickie bomb and constantly is on the flank. takes 15% heals average
Medic: When not killing himself from disappointment, hes glad that when he calls to hide in a corner the other 6 Slicerogue's know exactly what wavelength hes on and dont hesitate at all to hide in said corner.
