PlatinumHonestly if you start in a certain division and play two matches in it you should not be allowed to switch teams to a lower division mid season, only the same division or higher. If your team dies, better luck next season. Might incentivize people to get on teams that will live.
I fully agree with this whole statement.
IMO, a team is all about finding people with common goals. Put those to practice and bam. Cohesive team. (Different topic though)
But like you hinted at, there should be some rules in place to prevent compulsive team hopping. Like you can only hop like max of 2x per full season. Or something like that... Not just the wait seven days to join a team. Which btw, there are ways around this. But it could land you some trouble if admins find out that you did it. 0.o Resulting in player bans and overturns of matches.
MaxHaxSame stream in 7 days?
Probably. At least the music was decent.
SleepingLifeMr_OwlSleepingLifeMy team played their first cevo match yesterday, we all averaged 30-50 ping lower than when we used to play same server location in esea.
what about the part where the server was stuck on 2fort for 20 minutes before matchtime or the fact that somehow someone was allowed to post twitch plays pokemon as the official match stream or the pings of the other team or any of that
:)
1st part, that was before matchtime, and was due to my own inexperience with cevo shit, I didn't realise I had to change it myself and the password didn't showup until I had refreshed the page.
2nd part Yeah, it's pretty stupid that they loaded a stream onto the MOTD.
3rd part I don't know the average pings of players I haven't played with, but when we were playing they all seemed to have at least decent ping while we were playing.
ALSO, by far the biggest thing to my team, we didn't have any of that bullshit stutter, or random times where the server lagged, or massive ping fluctuations.
Thanks to sleeping for pointing this out. We all just need to admit that we're getting used to cevo.
PS. Last night I messaged fog with questions. He literally answered me within a minute. So props to the admins for having prompt response to the CEVO league games.
Also idk where to put this on the cevo website/forum. But 2 suggestions.
1) Could we get servers with the "live in 3"? Like in ESEA. I liked it. Made the match seem more official for a start of a round.
2) Consider having servers already pre-configured like in ESEA. This way we can not have to worry about one captain having rcon. I just foresee some issues with this in the future. Just my opinion though. (Ready with .ready or w/e)
THE WAIT IS FINALLLYEEEE OVEEERRR.

I meant to ask/look on the forums... but is the price the same for players in open and main for this season?
I actually have a 16 slot dm server atm. But I've been meaning to put a plugin on to restrict the classes and number of players. So I have not asked to put the ip up in tf.tv. Just havent had a ton of time to devote directly to SYOPS public servers. [FYI, I could use some people to help with managing servers and put a bit of time into them.]
tf2dm.game.nfoservers.com:27015 - chicago
(Sorry it's not 24 slots) However, if people will populate it. I can get 24 slots.
Currently, it has last ESEA seasons map rotation on it.
Someone pick up this beast. Forgets is so chill and hits shots. Wish he liked playing demo ;_; Literally did like 350dpm+ per scrim. 0_o
Amazing soldier though. Just needed someone more talkative on pocket. Would recommend.
blinK...
In short, before making any irrational decisions lets give ESEA a chance to clean up its act (which for all we know, it already has) and continue playing to avoid a community collapse at the highest level.
...
I'm with you blink. I say give them a chance. See what happens.
I dont see why more teams cant do both. We are. I'll just get backups to play if we have some schedule conflicts.
Ps. looking for backups. :D Thx.
Congrats on the sponsorship and Exertus pulling in some awesome TF2 players.
PS. Wtf look that chick's rocket launcher?! :P lol
We are most likely doing both ESEA and Cevo. I dont see why most teams cannot both. Just get backups to fill in when others will be busy.
As for the death of tf2, I highly doubt that seeing the amount of teams that want players and the people LFT.
Maybe there should be some community events to get more people active again. (besides tip of the hats, invite only events/zowie/etc, maybe some weekend tournaments like we talked about in the past.) Who knows, maybe I can look into that if there is still interest in that sort of thing.
Recently picked up a pocket, Air. Bump for demo tryouts that I may not have thought of/know.
(No more scout adds at this time. Thx.)
