#9 Pushing out of Last in Q/A Help
KapowwIf you send players through each exit and check hiding spots you shouldn't need to leave people behind

What kapoww said or if you do not have enough people to cover exits try to leave the roamer. I really want scouts to cap and demo & pocket to seal off entrances ASAP.

Depending on who is up: roamer (heavy/engi)>pocket>a scout(heavy/engi)>demo. I never like leaving demo he/she can put so much pressure on entrances.

But if the other team wipes obviously you do not need to leave anyone.

On some lasts like snakewater it is really hard to push out of. Especially if the other team does suicide plays and gets fast re-spawns. So I would be careful of spotting out this play. Moral of the story is try to always have a heavy when holding last or at least an engineer for wide-open lasts- snake/gully/granary/etc.

#48 Wow really? in TF2 General Discussion

Look I realize people are young and dumb. But I feel that these people who ddos invite players, streamers, and pug servers are a bit retarded. I do not understand why you guys think its funny. What is funny to me, is you all think you are all bad-asses because you can do a bit of Unix codes (or press some buttons on a html page) and you just think you're the shit. When really, you have no idea what you are doing. It's fine to learn stuff and tinker with things to understand them. But do not use "knowledge" for evil. Although I seriously doubt you guys actually fully understand what you are doing.

tl:dr- Grow up. Publicly say sorryJust stop doing it, I could care less who you are. And please, try to learn things then use your knowledge to help others. Not hurt them. Play a fair fight. gg

On a side note- because this is a federal crime I have been reading up on how to track people who are doing the ddosing. Please read if you get a chance- http://leaguepedia.com/wiki/DDoS_Prevention_Guide and http://crimeliferoleplay.dogsboard.com/t44-how-to-track-your-ddos-attacker-and-how-to-stop-him-a-little-bit-a-boust-ddos

and

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=289CSP2rDSU

Also according to this l33t ddoser on that video I linked he said this...

Unlitbot 3 months ago

I'm actual a ddoser and i make my own ddosing programs and applications. To actually prevent getting ddosed you will need to purchase a VPN. openVPN is preferred. you will also need to change your ip my contacting your isp or you can change your ip by CMD but sometimes takes awhile considering you have to turn your router off for a long period of time. the reason for changing your ip is because if you have a vpn you can still be ddosed if someone has your real ip and the vpn will be pointless.

^ Sound familiar?- OpenVPN

#33 Got scammed tf2 items in TF2 General Discussion

Yeah I would not have let that guy get the trade first. The number one rule of trading stuff for money is... money first > verify > then trade. :/ Sorry Rudy. I would have rather just held on to the hat for a bit and waited for a non-derpy trader.

#28 Got scammed tf2 items in TF2 General Discussion

EDIT: Found the steamrep report. Read here- http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198021787672-kalkar.25182/

Hold on here... maybe I just did not read your post too well or something. But you never gave any information as to how he even scammed you. Sorry if I missed it.

1) But when I am trading I make sure the purchaser goes first. They send the money then I give items to them. If they do not go first then you're not trading correctly.

2) The other thing is I look up and make sure the person I am trading is not someone's alt account. There are alot of scammers who use reputable people's steam profiles (fake) and pretend to be them. This is very common.

3) If you were not given your money through paypal for goods, you probably should contact paypal. See if you can get their account banned or whatever penalty the paypal managers can find.

4) I make sure to keep logs of transactions if anything goes wrong or if something fishy happens. That way if you need to talk to the Steam police (https://support.steampowered.com/) which I would advise to at least send as much proof as you can to them and see what they can do. Which may possibly be nothing, I seriously do not even see your situation explained anywhere.

5) Post this information on sourceop - http://sourceop.com/ . There are alot of powerful traders who frequently visit this trading forum and can probably help you along your journey to maybe get your money back and/or unusual.

Anyways sorry for the long rant. But the moral of the story is be smart in your trades. Keep logs of transactions. And be weary of people who are on alts who look like the real-deal. Good luck roody.

PS. Please actually explain what happened. Thanks.

PSS. Your best bet is to talk to people on sourceop. Those people are very helpful when it comes to the tf2 trading world.

Download an irc client (mIRC, icechat, hexchat, etc) or alternatively use http://atf2.org/ .

Type in chat "/join #tf2scrim" in the irc.gamesurge.net server. Right click the channel name (tf2scrim) and make sure to auto join it when joining the gamesurge server.

Then ask people in the chat for a scrim "6s ugc platinum cp_map".

Shwan has a great guide on this, good luck! -

#167 What's your job, TF.TV? in Off Topic

MLG pro gamer. Just kidding.. I wish...

I used to be an assistant manager at a movie theater while going to school like fan of angles. That job was just so fun at times. Very good times. 8)

But I just graduated with an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree. Just got a job at a web-hosting company but I am looking for an engineering programming/hardware/firmware job in the mean-time.

#24 ESEA Playoff Schedule in TF2 General Discussion

Have any teams scheduled matches yet? I looked at the playoff schedule and it states that IM matches begin on Monday 11th for upper brackets. Yet when I look at the schedule page I cannot find teams that are scheduled. Nor can I find the brackets, however I see above that no one else can find the brackets (which normally linked to the match schedules).
