SetsulBest i can do is:
-snip-
Better performance and cheaper. You can get even better performance if you are willing to spend some additional $.

Lower Quality SSD (it has lower Read speeds, and MUCH lower write speeds)

Significantly Lower Quality Case (sure it'll work but it isn't that great for cooling or cable management)

No Dual Channel RAM?

The User lives in Canada, most US prices will not apply to them sadly. Also I think Spyromancer already owns a HP W2072a because it's not priced in his original part list when it could be.

-edit-
Locked CPU and you have a aftermarket cooler, doesn't make sense.

#10 Help me cut costs in Hardware

I'll just say if you don't really care about laws their are ways to getting around the windows cost.

Honestly you don't need 16GB of Ram even if you're streaming. You can try 8GB of RAM and save about $40-$50

128GB SSD You'll save about $90

Pretty sure a logitech G400s is $10 cheaper but not 100% sure on that nvm it is cheaper. Both of them are similar in size and top notch mice so I don't see a big issue for changing over if possible.

A $164 case is a bit ridiculous there is a plethora of GREAT Cases for $70-$100 w/o mail in rebate if that's what you're avoiding.

I did pick A Higher Quality Motherboard, Power Supply, and Video Card. Also switched you from Win 8 to Win 7. You did have a non-unlocked CPU and aftermarket cooling which is mostly pointless.

haswell build instead, slightly lower quality PSU compare to the rosewill but still good. same price

did you turn the overlay on?

did you accidentally make the overlay ridiculously small or move it in a manner you wouldn't see it?

If you guys could get Sal to do even 30 minutes of casting that would be epic.

#24 The Mouse/Mousepad Thread (last updated Sep. 9, 2013) in Hardware
easyGame+1111111 for Zowie FK

Using it for almost 3 weeks now and it is the best ever.
Outclasses my G400 that I used before by far in every way. Much better build quality, the shape, the design, the sonsor. Supreme mouse.

I used 3 G400 for almost 2 years and the cord always broke within 5-7 months. And with recently Logitech (I called the support several times...) stopping replacing it I don't care if my Zowie is a bit more expensive. It will hopefully last for some more time.

I've used a G400 for over a year now, still no problems with it. The Zowie FK only has a slightly better cable, shape/design is preference, the sensor part is a moot point for both mice. I want a Zowie FK however do to it being a lighter weight mouse for a claw grip which I prefer for gaming.

Also
Why are you adding Laser mice? They're awful compared to optical.
Why are you adding Steel Series mice? They have some of the dumbest inbuilt acceleration I've ever seen. btw you miss linked the Steel Series Sensei.

#15 Pre-season games in UGC in TF2 General Discussion
morningfoxIt's preseason, technically you don't have to play it. I don't get why you're complaining about preseason matches, as it's preseason.

This right here is reason enough to complain about pre-season, because it doesn't matter.

morningfoxIt's meant so people can relax and have fun before tryharding in the season. The idea of throwing the preseason match to face a weaker team is pretty silly imo, but teams should be able to do whatever they want.

Pre-Season exists for various reasons

1. To test maps
2. To help teams decide if they really want to play together
3. To help teams know if they're in the right division

Problem is all of those points are moot when you consider summer season, how UGC decides map pools, the fact that pre-season is borderline worthless so team have no incentive to practice the map to play seriously or even show up, finally most teams would have already scrimmed teams in the same division and if they haven't odds are they're playing Steel/Iron and have no experience at all.

Though their is 1 other point I was just reminded of.

4. To help new team leaders understand how UGC works.

Honestly with the sheer number of teams I wouldn't be surprised if their are some really stupid people leading teams that can't figure out the site.
Steel/Iron pre-season honestly makes sense, but why should Platinum/Gold reflect that?

I'm honestly concerned with Online battles, and Co-op campaigns which is/was horrifically buggy in Shogun 2.

#52 Loosing Hours on TF2 in TF2 General Discussion
flatlinethey might be removing idling hours? idk

If this was true I would've lost over 1000 hours just by being at the main menu. Used to leave tf2 open overnight, or at a friends house alt+tabbed out.

#20 Changes to disguise portraits in TF2 General Discussion
NokomnShe has 631 quick fixes holy shit

Fun Facts: She sold a bunch of them after the recent update that buffed quick fix, and other prior updates such as the one that added explosive jumping with your pocket.

She doesn't just name mediguns after the quick-fix either.

but seriously this was a needed change, and tbh they should make it more obvious than that.

#38 S11 UGC 9v9 Maplist in TF2 General Discussion
SmallWaves4812622SmallWavesdom_canalzone (a man can dream, can't he?)
was agreeing up until the last bit

Only saying this because the removal of the two points and how scoring works in halves is no longer Godawful. It's actually fun now, and it's a hell of a lot better "alternative" game mode than ctf (which has been in normal season numerous times) or payload race (plr_waste was the pre-season map in S9).

Not playing dom_canalzone again, tried it in S7 and in a map test pug about a month ago map still sucks, the fact you complain about GPit and not Canalzone is puzzling to say the least.

Also Swiftwater is a ok map, but not good enough to warrant being in every season.

//cl_threaded_bone_setup 1 //Causes crashes on disconnects!

After having played for months on 2 completely different systems I can confirm this is not true.

atmo
//cl_threaded_client_leaf_system 1 //UNSTABLE!

Everytime I enable this setting I crash within 5 minutes of joining a server, so definitely still true.
