I have, it's an alright game full of it's own problems.
You'll find the most enjoyment of playing this game with 4-11 friends. Playing as a "Lone Wolf" is highly not recommended and you'll usually end up hating it if you play like that.
I play Mattherson Vanu (along with a lot of other TF2 players) but Vanu on Mattherson is a bit over pop'd so you might want to try Waterson if you want to Vanu or even TR (Terran Republic), or Mattherson NC(New Conglomerate).
I haven't played in awhile because I can't hold much higher than 30fps in combat.
Personally though even with almost all my experience being at under 40fps I love the game but it does have its quirks. Poorly optimized for one (it doesn't support multi-threading yet), it's still kinda in the process of being released globally and on multiple platforms so it's not quite polished, bordering Pay 2 Win features you can pay for experience boosts that make the upper level stuff come 50-100% faster, or you can outright buy weapons that may or may not be a straight upgrade or be better in a situation.
I'd try the game with some friends and try playing with a group if I were you first, preferably people that have already played PS2 before and know a lot about it.
Overall would Recommend, it's free anyway.

RekI hated every second of it. Gameplay felt so slow and generic. The idea behind it is great, but I feel like it's only good 10% of the time.
probably played mostly as a "Lone Wolf"
Saltysally1seems like dota and other games are steadily overtaking sc2's viewership, pretty much what the title says. twitch has been front paging like 3 streams of sc2 but somehow dota still has more viewers :( i just hope that starcraft doesn't get choked out and drop below the radar because the level of production and commentators are so great for that game. any thoughts?
SC2 Dying? Maybe, but there will always be at least some form of a large starcraft community. Also highly doubt Starcraft will die in Korea.
rQwireSeriously though the PL server is pretty bad, everyone is just clipping through the rocks.
that and their are only 3 maps to pick from
pl_goldrush

pl_badwater (buggy version)
still had some good fun though
It would be significantly easier assuming LGA 1150 isn't a 1 generation slot.
That and Intel CPUs are atm significantly better in nearly every way.
Also upgrading AMD cpus will become next to impossible within the next few years because they're planning on forcing users to buy integrated CPU Motherboards. Meaning everytime you want to upgrade your CPU or even your motherboard you have to buy both no matter what. + some other business road maps they've made suggest quality is only going to get worse for desktops.
jollyfryI kinda have the same goals that wo has with a computer build. Since I don't need peripherals, would this be a good build? I just upgraded the cpu and the video card to make them a little bit more powerful.
PCPartPicker part list
If you can afford Intel prices it's well worth it. Beyond that your build is perfectly fine for playing TF2 and never be a problem for a 60Hz/75Hz Monitor.

Changes to the Video Card, CPU, and Motherboard. Added a Keyboard.
Also keep in mind you're going to spend about $80 more upfront because of Mail in rebates. I tried finding alternates that didn't have mail in rebates for a similar or lower price for nearly everything but almost everything that's workable in that price range has mail in rebates.
-edit-
Changed the RAM to a lower CAS Latency (good thing), same speed, and lower price.
You might want to switch to an AMD CPU build for this price range.
If you stay with this Intel build about the only thing you could cut back on would be the video card for like a HD 7670 which you would save maybe $50 but if you play only or 99% TF2 that shouldn't be a problem.
-edit-
Do you need a keyboard and mousepad as well? Those do add a little cost (or alot if you want Gaming Grade).
huh, the last time this happened to me all I did was restart my pc and it was fine.
vilehas weeble been proven to be legit yet?
