#7 Compiling competitive changes we want for TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

Usability / Convenience
-Have a in game option to not see cosmetic items, or specific cosmetic items/slots.
-Have a better Colo(u)rblind mode than a picture over people covered in piss.
-Make no rag dolls/shadows a video option via the in game options

Competitive related
-Make Footsteps slightly louder, at least in the comparison to maps background noise/explosions
-Add/Smooth animations/hitboxes to people spamming crouch in air
-Make it so shadows don't render through walls

Servers
-Allow servers to have tick rates higher than 67/s i.e 100/s, 134/s
(btw, for those who do not know this would improve hitscan hit detection, and allow for lower interps)

STV Related
-Have moving a camera move on a Z axis bound to keys by default
-Make the 3rd person Camera a little further out
-Add the ability to see players through walls like the casting plugin

Map Changes
-All those little places where I can see someone with literally nothing obstructing my view, and being unable to hit them because of a invisible walls sticks out a little to far.

DX 8
-Flashing uber like the guy above said
-Cow Mangler Projectiles / Explosions

HUD
-Able to see teammates health / players health if in spectate with default hud

Well if you're pubbing you could just use the Pocket Pistol, but this sounds really cool lol.

#22 Opinions on ~ $1300 PC Build in Hardware
frknd0m3rEmmaWatsond0m3rdont really see the point in overclocking a new processorStop
im sorry i dont see the point in shortening the life of a processor you just got

shorten it from like 15 years to like 10 wooo

this^

and as other have already said, it's a really solid build you might be able to save a few dollars here and there for the same quality but overall it's great.

Also consider a 760 (I would also recommend a AMD card but I assume you're going for Lightboost which afaik is Nvidia only or a lot easier on Nvidia), and a SSD (even if it's a 32GB boot one)

#34 Comp.tf - A competitive tf2 wiki? in Projects

Uhh should we make Pages for Individual Weapons/Items?

Kinda like

Gunboats

Section 1. Stats/What they do

Section 2. Their Uses in 6s

Section 3. Their Uses in HL

Section 4. Random Item Specific Strategy

?

#14 Internet being stolen in Off Topic

Just FYI, most ISPs may say "estimated" but they usually have a within 10% or 20% Guarantee in their TOS for non-fiber connections. Assuming you don't have a bandwith Cap/Not having your internet leeched hard, you could just look through their TOS notify them that you're not within the guaranteed range, which usually leads to them conceding very quickly and you getting decent internet back.

SetsulSorry, i must have skipped that line.
Nonetheless i still can't understand why you want the i5-4670K.
The 7850 will reach it's limit way before the i5-4670K.

When do you plan on buying the cooler?
And when do think you'll max out the 7850? Like zilis said you'd need another PSU aswell is you upgrade the GPU.

TF2 being a CPU limited game I would see it perfectly reasonable to shoot for a 4670K and wanting to overclock it with just a 7850. Not to mention a better CPU is more helpful for Streaming/Video Editing.

WaldoThere is no reason for you to get a single 8GB RAM dimm. Your motherboard supports 4, you should probably get 2x4GB, unless you plan on adding more later.
I'd suggest this or this

Seriously this 2x4GB is A LOT better than 1x8GB, do to your ability to setup Dual Channel.

You also don't really need the anti-static wrist strap, just touch a piece of metal (like your case in most instances) before you touch electrical equipment.

-edit-

1 last thing, you can probably do without the Keyboard, getting a 120Hz > Decent Keyboard.

#18 Free-4-All Tournament Registration OPEN!! in TF2 General Discussion
DerpusMangachucan you ban heavy please
PLEASE
and pyro
and spy
and engi
pls

none of those class are broken when it comes down to straight Mass DMing like heavy is. Heavy has the highest DPS in the game, highest Health, and is Hitscan. The only thing that would compare is a lvl 3 sentry but that's completely immobile, and their's no buildings anyway.

#3 FPS in TF2 General Discussion

Normal, POV clip

60 or 120

Slow Motion
Really depends on how Slow, 240 or 480 perhaps higher.

Smooths

I don't know but I would assume 240.

#29 Mouse and Mousepad in Hardware
AlfieComangliaI only really know logitech mice pretty well so I'll give my 2 cents here

Wireless
G500s as mentioned above works surprisingly well for a wireless mouse, beyond being wireless it's virtually the exact same as the g400s.
Huh? The G500 or G500s is not a wireless mouse. You're thinking of the G700, which is a decent wireless mouse.

G700 doesn't have the same shape as a G400, while you're right it isn't a G500 I was talking about a G7 which is basically a wireless G400 with a laser sensor.

Wireless
G7 as mentioned above works surprisingly well for a wireless mouse, beyond being wireless it's virtually the exact same as the g400s. Personal friend of mine owns this and even a few of the "upgraded" models and hasn't had any issues with it. The upgraded models are not that much different, they come with weight option but that only helps if you want it heavier than stock, and higher DPIs but I doubt anyone could legitimately need 5000+dpi.

G700s is good too.

Wired
G400s - I personally own one (well a G400) but they're exactly the same except slightly different materials and slightly more overkill sensor. Cord issues? I haven't had any and I am going on about 9 months with my mouse, but I did read alot of reviews about the cable and have been making damn sure I took as good care of the cord as I could. Grip? You'll almost certainly be using palm grip unless your hands are insanely huge. Left Handed? I think they have a left handed version. Scroll Wheel? I can see how AloSec said it was "iffy", but tbh I've never had issues with it, it scrolls fairly fast but I still if I do use it to switch to a weapon always end up on the one I wanted.

The main question should be "Which grip do I prefer." "Palm or Claw" Palm = G400s/G500s Claw = Zowie FK/AM maybe EC1/2; didn't include death adder cause insanely poor drivers...
