Would be nice if Casters focused on doing 3rd person over the shoulder views, and Sky views of Matches. For the very same reason mentioned in the video that 1. It's not ready and obvious to tell how a team is doing and 2. It can be a bit nauseating. Their's been more than a few times I see a roamer go in on the combo at Mid kills the Demo and Med, and 1 of their scouts gets a 3rd kill but they end up being wiped at mid somehow, and that's just it idk how they got wiped at mid I was too busy watching how well 1 player was doing

wtf wrong thread... -_-
rakzbrbrbrI saw in some configs if you get jittering you must do cl_smooth 1
But i really doesnt know what this command does, can someone explain?
Also smoothtime 0.01 makes diference if smooth is 0?
Since i'm SA player in NA servers (average 140-180ms) i was trying to find a interp for hitscan, and with net_graph always on in one match i can see bad graph spikes(in interp relative line) with 0.033 0.035 lerp, and both 0.050 and 0.01 lerp did better, but its relative and will never have a good test about it. Actually playing with lerp 0.050 and hiting well
Forgot to mention that if you ping is over 100ms stock interp -might- work best for you.
try .08 I've been told other Brazilian players have used that.
cl_smoothtime .01 basically means for 10ms the client will smooth out movement of other players based off of server updates, but only if their's a connection error to the server. I've turned this off before and even to servers where I have great connnection their's a lot of jitter (server did have high choke for me).
ok so generally speaking you'll want this
cl_interp .033
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_updaterate 66
rate 60000
for scout, after that you're going to want either
A: Fiber Internet
B: A Really Close Server, While also having a not shitty ISP (goodluck)
C: The Gods on your side
*You may need multiple of these above statements :/
and finally in the words of Bloodsire

Just noticed TeamFortress.tv uses the same color scheme as the main body of posts from NATF2.
burntfishphobiahighlander is epic XD!I still don't understand the hatred surrounding highlander. It's a competitive game mode associated with the game we love and any competitive tf2 is good to spread it.
Honestly I think he got -Fragged because his comment doesn't add anything to the topic, and is pretty off the wall.
oh and another I remember being shown

Not sure if this was legit or not but damn if it is
took me awhile to find it, HL Engi. Feat. Spamfest
You really should just rotate between different forms of practice.
Scrims/Pugs are probably the best in general, but odds are you're not going to get picked for all of them, and you can't just do 1 pug and then insta-join another most of the time either.
Scrims/Pugs are not that great though if you want to practice something specifically though (on your own). Other than prediction, which you would gaing after playing against numerous opponents in various settings and of various skill levels/temperaments.
honestly idk which class you play but I'll tell you what I have done.
For tracking I would practice on tr_walkway usually with the SMG or Pistol. I'd try to do this for 20-40 minutes, which yes is boring so try making a music playlist that's roughly as long as you want to practice. (All Bots on Medic Speed; All 9 Classes; No Crits; net_fakelag 1/2 of whatever your usual ping is)
DM servers are really good for the in between time for pugs/warm ups before scrims/matches. Try to stay on for 1 to 2 maps.
MGE Decent for 1v1 training, but try finding a handful of people that you practice MGE with teammates/friends on various classes. Don't practice with people who want the best MGE ELO. I wouldn't do more than 2 or 3 sets of MGE though.
Demos, watch your own demos (ask yourself what did I do wrong? How could've helped my team here? Did I kill their medic to soon after my medic died? etc)/ and demos of higher skill players. Also not the most exciting thing to do, but seriously how else will you know of your own flaws?
Practice against pub players; sometimes you just don't want to do straight up DM/mge and can't pug/scrim.
Finally, stay Calm and Positive as much as you can. :)
90% Your Monitor is Fucked
9% Your Video Card is Fucked
1% Something that's impossible for me to guess is fucked
Try a different monitor, seriously ANY monitor and see if the problem is still there. If the problem IS still there you'll probably need a new video card, if it ISN'T still there you'll need a new monitor.
That other 1% is because computers do some of the weirdest shit for reasons that just don't make sense.
flatlineIs anyone else in the midwest having massive ping spike issues? I just spoke with my ISP over it and they told me that Centurylink (aka the fiber ring owner for most of the midwest) was having problems with their servers (aka the servers pretty much everyone in the midwest have to route through to connect).
depends on the server location
Chicago is still just fine for me, while LA is going crazy from anywhere from 90 to 230 at random intervals for no reason. Texas is kinda the same as LA but it's only 60-90 which isn't a big deal to me. [redacted]
EkComangliaSo spy-checking, extinguishing teammates, reflecting and juggling ubers are completely useless? The degreaser is completely unnecessary to gameplay and rewards players who can't think to switch weapons before they actually need it. The decreased switch time makes pyro more of a crit-whore than the support class it was originally intended to be and is not needed at all to play Pyro effectively. How do you think Pyro players played before the degreaser was added?KoobadoobsDegreaserWithout the degreaser pyro is basically irrelevant.
lmao "originally intended" pyro was "oringinally intended" not to have Airblast meaning Extinguishing teammates, reflects, and juggling ubers was impossible.
"How do you think Pyro players played before the degreaser was added?"
Before the degreaser in competitive. They didn't except very rare circumstances. I am pretty sure Highlander didn't even exist at the time as a competitive format either. It was mostly 8s and 6s were it was basically the same 4 classes 6s uses now.
Before the degreaser in pubs. They WM+1'd people just like now.
KoobadoobsDegreaser
W/o the degreaser pyro becomes almost quite literally a W+M1 only class, honestly they should've just made the base flamethrower what the degreaser is now. Without the degreaser pyro is basically irrelevant.
Sniper Rifle
Instead of 200ms delay for headshots, how about 100ms or 150ms considering it's easily possible to scope in and react faster than the headshot delay. Would help raise the skill ceiling of the class overall, and still solve the problems of being to powerful at super close range.
Why, you guys want 6s as a pub lobby format is beyond me for reasons that have probably already been stated and that most people wouldn't be interested if theirs no spy, pyro, sniper, heavy, or engi 95% of the time. Not to mention if they had made this for 6s or with 6s I hate to imagine what Payload would be like 6v6 which is probably the most popular Pub mapmode.
Also not everyone wants to play 6s over HL, especially people who've never played competitive. I still remember signing up for a community pug not knowing why I couldn't signup as Pyro or Sniper (which are classes I consider to be alot more fun to play than standard 6s classes), and that some items were banned. Like Fists of Steel, Sandvich, Atomizer (yet the FaN was/is allowed...), etc.
Finally, to be fair to Robins statement on 6s being stagnant, their's only so much 12 players on about 1 dozen maps can do, even then most of the strats are just simply replicated between maps of the same mapmode, especially when 95% of the time it's 4 classes.
is it really so damn difficult to have dual casts? You're both community casting groups -_-
