I remember trying a few of the alphas a few months back, gameplay was rather clunky. Didn't help they only had euro servers at the time too lol. Looking forward to trying it again.

HoppsMarxistIf it's in fact 87 C and not Freedom units, then you're running pretty damn hot (hot enough to kick your CPU into throttling itself) and that's the cause of the stutter. You want your temps at 60 C or below under heavy load or you'll see performance drops.
60C is overkill at full load, intel cpu throttles at 100C if I remembered correctly.
but if not throttling, below 90C is safe. I would like my CPU a bit cooler tho like 85C max
Depends on the cpu series and if it's a desktop or laptop variant. Some throttle at. 80c others at 90c most shut off at 100c now iirc
stizdomastercomsWhat's your hardware specs, OS, config, temps?
i5-4460 4 cores, gtx 1050ti, windows 10, mastercomfig
gpu runs at about 80 F, cpu runs at about 87 F
before jungle inferno i was getting a stable 300-400 fps in dx9
you sure you're reading those temps right? usually the temps are given in Celsius. I find it amazing if your cpu ran at ~30 Celsius while under load, especially with stock cooling which almost certainly what you're using.

fuck didn't realize this said image until 2 days later...
Missed the QBF vs VP match wish I hadn't. Idk how VP could've fucked up that bad...
femmebruleeComangliaIt's hard to determine how long it lasts just because doing things like streaming netflix, normal internet browsing, etc. I don't notice a difference. However, I did a network reset last night before the LAN tournament, played until midnight, computer went to sleep. By the time I get home from work tonight, I'll have to reset it again.
I was hoping that the Windows reset - and removing all programs - would fix the issue, since I didn't re-download anything suspect (IMO). This is why I'm at a loss as to what to look for, since I figured it was a rogue program (like the VPN) messing with settings.
PeteThe Windows reset did fix it temporarily, but about the same amount of time as a network reset - about a day.
I highly recommend against using the sleep function on a regular basis if ever, while that may not be causing your issues it's certainly not doing you any favors except get you back to desktop marginally faster (if you have an SSD, HDD is quite a bit slower but still wouldn't recommend using sleep mode).
femmebruleeExactly these:
Network reset
Windows reset w/ keep files option
Huh never used network reset before. Judging from what it says it does I can infer that 1 of these 3 things is probably happening,1 it's fully reinstalling your network drivers with current version and removing network settings (in which case you have a program on your PC still that's changing your network settings), 2 it reverts back to older network drivers and clears network settings (in this case either new network drivers are bugged or a program is changing your network settings), 3 it just clears network settings (a program is changing your network settings, or their is a firmware bug that doesn't happen until after a few hours/days/next reboot)
I guess I should also ask how temporary is the network reset fix?
femmebruleeWhat I did to try to fix:
- Full Network reset (on Windows 10) FIXES IT - temporarily, it eventually converts back
- Full Windows reset/wipe (kept documents only) - not fixed
What do you mean by reset/wipe in these 2 instances?
Nitr0 has been doing insane amounts of work
Vega going fucking nuts this major.
Beat out Renegades, beat out FaZe by a shit ton, and going into overtime with G2. Real interested in how their match with Liquid plays out.
Cloud9 seems to be doing great, still hoping for them to make finals.
The only thing that I would change about my past is getting diagnosed and treated and or medicated for ADHD -inattentive type at an early age. Would've made a massive difference in my GPA and might've got my eagle project done...
KiNGComangliaWould love to see C9 get to finals but I'm thinking SK vs Faze is most likely for finals.in b4 faze bomb out of qualifier 0-3
That would be nuts, but no way that's happening unless someone or multiple people drop the ball on faze.
Would love to see C9 get to finals but I'm thinking SK vs Faze is most likely for finals.
MetnahawkieldWhat is the purpose of this? I thought ping depended upon ISP's routing rather than geographical area. I get 90ms ping in Singapore Servers, 175ms in German Servers and get 250ms in mumbai while connected from Kathmandu(nepal).I believe it's both
The main factors determining latency from point A to point B, is the distance the route takes, how many hops there are, the port speeds involved, congestion (not just bandwidth in general but the shear number of packets per second as well at each hop), and the medium in which the signal travels.
ChinGoo aka FuRy is a great person to play with especially if you as an engineer put teles facing the wrong way ;)
