jeskoBetween the G403 and EC2-A which one was more similar to the IME in terms of size? I have pretty big hands so i'd rather have something be a little too big than a little too small. I'm on the G100s right now and it feels like the size of my palm its terrible.

Idk if this helps jesko but here's a picture of a G403 an older IntelliMouse (sorry not IME 3.0) and the EC2-A

lettobearodactyl- huntsman is not good enough to be banned
I just wanna pick this one statement out, because i feel it represents the discussion if we should ban redundant weapons (not op, but annoying and gimmicky)
Someone equipping this weapon is making a bad decision, because in general it will do less damage than a sniper rifle in skilled hands. Nevertheless there is still a possibility someone equips it, and kills a player on first shot with very little skill required (hold m1, aim headheight, peek shutter, release). This is infuriating for the receiving end and rewards a player for a bad decision.
Imo random crits are an exaggerated version of this problem, someone could make a generally bad decision ingame but kill someone with a crit, hence we banned those.

The huntsman at least for NA has been ubanned for such a long time and for the most part hasn't been an issue. That said. RIP Platinum's huntsman

#1 lf Scout Mentor in Mentoring

Primarily someone to go over demos with and discuss what I should be doing on various area of a map and situations.

Primarily looking for someone who has High-IM / Invite Experience

I already have someone I do demo reviews with but I don't like bugging the same person over and over with my shitty demos and questions.

ThorEatsWormsComangliaI feel that both the current whitelist and the whitelist you have in there are too extreme. I'm fine with the weapons that are slight downgrades, or sidegrades it's the retarded troll weapons and ones that are OP/unfun need to be banned.

I'm still on the fence about the xbow though.
The thing is, though, why bother keeping downgrade weapons? It seems counterintuitive to me. Where do you draw the line between a "slight downgrade" and a "troll weapon?"

Also the crossbow thing I polarized on purpose. I understand that it's more complicated than yes/no right now, but I just wanted to see which way people leaned if that makes sense. Just a strawpoll, nothing official.

For myself the troll weapons are the ones that will never make a difference in an actual round beyond pissing off the other team. Ex. Holiday Punch, Rocket and Sticky Jumper. Obviously this line varies but I can't understand why anyone would think weapons that do literally no damage and replace a stock item and weapons that are legitimately only ever used for trolling should be allowed.

this isn't necessarily perfect but it's a lot closer to what I would want to see http://whitelist.tf/7168

ThorEatsWormsQuick strawpoll, I just want to know where we are in terms of support/against

Quickie Bomblauncher is a slight downgrade that is useful in a couple situations, Tomislav isn't that bad to play against, Widowmaker doesn't matter, Ambassador is a good sidegrade, etc.

Shit like the Holiday Punch, Frontier Justice, Pomson 6000, etc NEED to go.

I'm still on the fence about the xbow though.

CollaideComangliathesqrtminus1ComangliaI just looked at the global whitelist. Their's some really questionable weapons being allowed.

...Frontier Justice...

frontier justice is completely balanced and actually underpowered in most situations

it's so situational that if you run it anywhere close to full time you'll get smacked the fuck down 99% of the time

you're just a slow scout with 3 shots per clip and if you miss any you're dead

I said it was an AIDS weapon not a GOOD weapon. Of course the weapon is shit.

Ok so if your opponent is using a shit weapon, you should be able to outplay him to the point where he changes class or changes weapon (assuming he wants to win).

If your argument is that opponents use the weapon and you don't think it's fun, then A.don't participate in goofy/fun games B. don't scrim against teams who bring out those weapons, C. if you encounter it in a match prove you're the better player and beat them while they are playing suboptimally.

this is exactly what newer players do. I've personally have never seen it ran but my point was that weapon being unbanned is just stupid cause literally no one would use other than to tilt people. I've played long enough and at sufficiently high enough level I don't HAVE to deal with it, new players on the other hand are screwed and will do exactly what you suggested and stop playing.

AirStrike, Beggars Boozaka, Baby Face Blaster, Frontier Justice and the Pomson 6000, along with the Machina. jfc

some seriously bad weapons there. Surprised I haven't seen much airstrike that thing is god tier once you get 4 kills with it.

#35 Yet another unlocks survey in TF2 General Discussion

I just finished filling this out. Have to say wasn't sure what you meant by "Haven't seen this weapon used before" I assumed you meant in a 6s setting, so I marked a lot of them as if I hadn't seen them used cause I haven't in 6s, but I've definitely seen alot of them in pubs and HL on a regular occasion.

PuoskariJust throwing this out there, as a somewhat popular opinion being that scout is the strongest/easiest class, frustrating to play against because of his dominance w/e, it's strange to allow winger. It only adds quite a lot more ease to scout's movement, allowing him to access high grounds with no effort, when it's the weakness for a scout to be on the low ground.

Stock Pistol never makes more than 5% of any scout's total damage done, because the weapon is shit even if you can track very well, because of it's gay spread, also because of the fact it's only used to finish off targets. Sure using Winger means you can't switch to pistol to finish off targets as easy, but usually it's still more efficient to use scatter anyways because of the unpredictability of pistol's spread. Instead it gets just easier to get on high grounds when being on low ground is the downside for scout. Surely I may be totally wrong here but share your thoughts or something, I'm not saying Winger improves scout 100x, just that it still is pretty straight upgrade in a sense.

idk about at higher levels of play, but at least in my experience using winger instead of stock I feel like I miss 1-2 frags per scrim just because I don't have the extra finishing damage of stock pistol. Probably mostly due to my own inconsistentcy with scattergun and just not properly exploiting the movement of winger but yeah doesn't feel like it's that much of an upgrade if at all, just a different style of scout play.
