I would argue that using Badlands last as the deciding example of a competitive situation is pretty unfair in general. For instance, in Snakewater last, while you can peak and find out if there is a Heavy, a Sniper or a Sentry, you're not typically looking at the Engineer, and because Snakewater is a larger last than say Badlands, its more useful to attempt to hold the uber as long as you can to gain ground unless the enemy team is running the Sniper anyway. I don't know how fast you think an uber will build, but 10% suddenly gone mid-push plus damage is pretty difficult to deal with (that tends to average a full 3 seconds in play where conditions are not always optimal especially mid-push.) This is even worse when an entire team is intent to kill a medic and his patient before they pop. Even if the Medic calls and says to call off the push, they lost 10% uber, that's time for the enemy team to get spawns, build their own ubercharge, etc. It's a compounding punishment for something that wasn't based on the Engineers skill nor any mistake of the team that was trying to push. The gun is also very easy to spam since it STILL does not require ammunition, has no damage penalty anymore, does equal damage to buildings and players alike and thus has no downside to firing. At the very least, the gun should not have the uber draining mechanic. Dealing damage and having no need to pick up ammo is enough for a class that suddenly doesn't need to conserve ammo to build death machines.

But I'm not playing in ETF2L, so perhaps my points aren't worth anything.

This is 100% not true, it does NOT remove 10% uber lol, at snakewater its max of 5%, and you wont hit the medic anyway because there will be atleast 2 classes infront of the medic, and pomson does not penetrate enemy players

so it doesnt matter that you can just spam choke points, even if you reach the enemy players (which will take like 3 seconds because it travels so fucking slow) you wont hit the medic anyway. And like tomu said, if you want to drain the uber before they push your team cant spam them so they will get in for free without ubering, in the hope that your engy MIGHT hit the enemy medic, then the engy has to call he hit the medic (which is hard to see), your team has to not die to the enemy players, and then shoot the medic before he gets his uber back (which will be in like 2-3 seconds)

Honey is actually pretty good with the gun, when we scrimmed them and they used it they did push us back to last a few times by suprise because our sniper did 15 damage per shot and our rockets did 20 damage per shot. You just need the right classes to counter it.

It does give the medic more skill which is good.

I see that its bugged but you said thats its OP in the video? While its not, you put that clip in there where you got hit while pushing badlands last, this will never happen, because your scout/pocket/demo or whoever you are going to uber will go in first and will (if not seen before) see the engy with pomson, the medic will probably even pop uber before he turns the corner already (he will 100% pop if theres a sniper right there lol), this will never happen in any map (as far as i know).

The only chance you will remove uber % is when you are pushing with the pomson, and hope the other medic doesnt move for 5 seconds, otherwise it will be 30% chance you will hit the medic (and even then it will remove 3% of uber which you can get back in 2 seconds) and you somehow have to kill him at the same time too. This is just impossible

I played pomson in pickup for 30 min, i got 25 kills including 1 medic DROP, and it ONLY HAD ONE GOOD MOMENT when i got the medic uber down from 100% to 90% and we killed the medic, but that was because i was pushing like a retard, when actually holding and spamming it it takes 10 min to get across the map and it has 0 effect. ITS SHIT

trashdoes the pomson still have that glitch where, if you shoot through a teammate, everyone but you and the teammate can't see the laser projectile

e: for context, I learned of that through this:The Pomson 6000 ban is due to its invisible particles glitch (when the beams are fired through a friendly players, the beam becomes invisible to all but those two players).

When i shot my teammate i could not see it, idk if it actually went through them though.

Also please dont ban me tf2pickup :(

I like nipple maps but if you have a nipple as the point nobody will ever go to the ledges on the left and right, and atm it will play almost the same as baloo. So you should change the nipple. I have no idea what to use intead though.

The one to choke is hitting the structure in choke, so you can't actually see mid. At least that's what I was trying to do. The one to logroom? Might be a justifiable tradeoff as logroom is the closest entrance to the point. Not sure. It seems to me that there is an endless balance of too much sniper sightlines or to little fluidness to the map. That's probably because it was a shitty shape to begin with but oh well, here we stand.
