It's fine as long as the servers you are connecting to are in that port range. What I would recommend is that you just make all traffic from your computer priority over other devices. That way all you have to do is pause downloads etc. All you need is the MAC address of your device. Consumer QOS is not great, but it does make a significant difference in situations where you have less bandwidth available.
decderDave_Have you checked your temps and clocks to see if you're thermal throttling (cpu and gpu)? That's the first thing I'd recommend.
Not quite sure how to do this. I have an asus ROG (laptop) which I hook up to a 144hz monitor. This means that the computer has a "mobile graphics card" (the nvidia 780m). could you explain to me how to check the temps on it?
msi afterburner for gpu (http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/vga/MSIAfterburnerSetup.zip)
throttlestop for cpu (http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2288/throttlestop-6-00/mirrors) or core temp for cpu(http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/php/download.php?id=3)
Also it's worth noting that you might want to disable powermizer (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/104031378/Powermizer%20Switch.exe). Info on powermizer if you're not familiar with it: http://www.nvidia.com/object/feature_powermizer.html
I currently play on a laptop and I have powermizer completely disabled and my clocks are always in 3D mode. Also I have a custom BIOS for the mobo + video card so that my clocks for my video card and CPU stay the same to prevent fps drops. Feel free to add me if you have questions.

A swap file (sometimes called a paging file) is basicaally what Windows uses as virtual ram on your computer. By default it has no defined size and can get as large as needed. It might be really large but I doubt it. You can find it in your advanced system settings.
Also you should check how much memory is being used by Windows for hibernation and if you don't use hibernation, disable it (assuming any real space is being used by it).
check how much space system restore and your swap file are using
aren't there already threads on this lol
over 300 scout hours
also sfc /scannow can't hurt; it basically verifies your system files
Either a Ducky Shine or a Ducky Zero/Zero Shine Zone would be good. I have a zero and a zero shine zone and both are great.
If you're looking for high quality audio, either torrent, buy it on bandcamp, or buy the cd. Higher quality is better (to a certain point before it gets pointless). If you're converting files, use foobar; it has the feature built in. Unless you really are super conscious about it, 320kbit mp3 is usually fine--it gets to be more of an issue on YouTube rips or lower bitrates compared to 320 or lossless.
cl_jiggle_bone_framerate_cutoff
You could just set the fps really really high and jigglebones (the botkiller) wouldn't move at all
