#8 Pixel/dot walk in Hardware
JOEwhat the fuck is dot walk? also i get the scrolling flicker too. im pretty sure there is nothing wrong with your brand new monitor.

edit: nvm about dot walk thing. clicked that page you linked in your other post to test it. I get that too, but my laptop screen works perfectly fine, since i never look at images like those normally

Yeah it wouldn't bug me if it didn't seem to flicker when I had my steam window open. I'm still debating returning the laptop. Only other options are the GT70 (which has shit cooling; 1 fan to cool the gpu and cpu) and the M17x (terrible build quality). :S

#6 Pixel/dot walk in Hardware
SolidSpeerlaiyeDave_It's not an issue with your settings; apparently it's a faulty LCD panel. You know you have it when you look at the picture and it seems to "flicker" or move.
If you scroll down and get still issue though it's not a faulty LCD panel. It's completely normal because the human eye is sluggish.

I'm not sure what he means by the scrolling bug, but what I'm talking about it flickering on that image or the pixel inversion test ( www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/inversion.php ). It wouldn't bug me if it was only there, but you can see the flicking on almost any dark background, including the steam window.

BLoodSirejust curious...do you mean flickering when you scroll the page down? Cause that is happening to me as well. What should I do? Should I adjust my interp? Someone please respond...tranchemusicSame. I didn't even know that was a thing.

#1 Pixel/dot walk in Hardware

So a couple days ago I picked up an Asus G75VX and I noticed that it suffers from dot walk in the LCD screen (embedded image seems to flicker).

I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to LCD screens but I'm aware that it's usually a result of the LCD not being calibrated properly. It's really not that bad as it is now, but I'm worried it may get worse. Any ideas?

#15 Best ISP's? in Off Topic
TheMatmanHey Ya'll, So I currently have att and am paying 60$ a month for only like 12 mbps. Lately, I have been experiencing serious drops in speed and am now looking for a better alternative. Does anyone have an ISP that they would strongly recommend (reliable, fast, cheap). Thanks! ( I am in central California btw)

Comcast. It's not that great but it's better than AT&T. My 6mbit line dropped out ~75-100x/day when I had AT&T.

However, Comcast does have mild packet loss every now and again it maybe drops 1 or 2 packets. Still, it sucks when it does happen and your game skips, but it's better than AT&T. For $70/month I get 25mbit download and 4.20mbit upload according to speedtest.net last I checked.

Also, Comcast's tech support sucks dick. Don't call them; they will not help you. Only thing I liked about AT&T was the fact that their tech support was really good; they even put me on my own remote router once at my request (granted, the router was on the west coast and all my pings sucked). Comcast will not do shit for you. Only call them if you want to ubsubscribe/get your line reset (which doesn't require a representative). Their representatives are also mean over the phone.

Just saw this today. There's other bundles as well. The Kinzu v2 is the standard version of the mouse and it comes in any color.

also, there's no side buttons if that matters

#185 DDoS Attacks in TF2 General Discussion
clorgDave_If you're being ddosed by bullet, add me and I'll tell you how to report it. I tried to get b4nny and everyone else to report it earlier from when bullet ddosed every invite pug back in January but none of them expressed any interest. With something like this, if we had 184 emails rather than posts, then we'd get somewhere fast.
I'm confused. Why do they have to add you for you to tell them, is there some secret way to report ddos attacks that only you know about?

No; it's just something you wouldn't want to post on a forum.
