You can try taking off the keys adjacent to it on the same row and comparing the heights. My red wasd keys with my K70 are physically taller than the other keys on that row for example.
DunderBroAlso here's for hoping people won't force memes onto literally everything ever!
Good luck with that
I haven't noticed it particularly with C and D but I've definitely had the loadout I was currently using reset when launching TF2
omzWhats with this huge influx of shit threads?
EtneyColemanI really don't understand this concept of tipping for the sake of tipping. I only tip if the service has been of a very high level, if it has then i'll tip. If the service has been dreadful, i leave them a few pennies to make my point. People should never expect a tip if they've done a shitty job.How would a delivery person give "very high" service? If someone doesnt tip me or just rounds up to the dollar, I am not thinking "oh I must have done a bad job". I'm thinking "wow, this fucker is cheap".
Since tipping isn't really done here in the UK, you'd have to do something really exceptional to get a tip.
freakinColemanwhat do service people (for example waiters) get paid there? cause in the U.S. it's usually around half of minimum wage if im not mistakenrandoColemanI really don't understand this concept of tipping for the sake of tipping. Where do you live mother fucker?
Cardiff, South Wales.
Minimum wage, pretty sure you can't earn less than minimum wage in a legal job in the UK. For reference, minimum wage in the UK is currently £6.31 per hour which is $10.50 US.
I don't tip anything because in England we actually pay our workers
vilerofl he was playing DEMO??
I read this entire thread assuming scout. Everything looks different now
rangaThis is disheartening. I just ordered this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487028
Will this not give me 150 fps consistently? I come from an ati Radeon 3870 so I figured any new card will give me good fps since I was getting 60-70 before. I also just got the i7 4770k with this card, please don't tell me it's still not enough. I think I get it today or tomorrow
It is true that for TF2, a CPU with strong single threaded performance is very useful, but for everything else a strong GPU is much more worthwhile, and the strongest CPU in the world won't give you anything in TF2 if you don't have the GPU power to back it up. Whilst the 750ti isn't a bad card, it's ridiculously good for the price, you'd have been much better off with a 4670k (saving $100 on the CPU) and putting that $100 towards a better GPU. A general rule of thumb is to not spend more on your CPU than your GPU, especially not more than twice as much. The 750ti will do you perfectly fine, but you could have done better. On the bright side, you have a strong base to upgrade on in the future; given the recent improvements since even the original core series CPUs (the one before sandybridge, I forget what it's called), the 4770k will last you a long while.
MonkeySuitI have an Asrock H87 with a 4670K and I get maybe 150 fps on mids, 120 in pubs and 180-190 on outside fights so that's not really what you were looking for. I have a gtx 650ti though and I guess that might be why.
also this is dx8
Show Contentsomeone help me if I can improve this
Upgrade the 650ti and you're good. If you have spare money after that go for a Z87 board (I'm assuming you'll need better cooling too) so you can overclock the 4670k.
i49 was the end for a good number of people at VTV, with a lot of obligations getting in the way. We've been pretty much "hibernating" the past two seasons since the remaining staff have been occupied in other areas e.g. Byte playing in Prem, myself not having internet capable of streaming, other people just generally having other things that needed doing. Personally I'd say that TFTV branded coverage would probably be better at this point, but I definitely think that the remaining members of VTV would and should be there to help out. It's one thing casting a LAN from STVs, quite another to be on-site with all the opportunities for extra coverage such as live player interviews, crowd reactions, player cams during games etc, which is something that VTV has proven itself to be very capable of at i49. I think if TFTV were to try on their own they'd do a fantastic job, but the experience and resources that VTV can bring to the table can't be ignored. I should be there and I'll be willing to help out.
If you can wait until Q3 (maybe later :/) of this year, Intel's new Broadwell architecture will be out but if you want an upgrade now, then you're looking at Haswell.
Sticking within a $350 budget can't be done unless you're willing to lose overclocking potential
Intel i5 4670: $220
Gigabyte H87 D3H: $105
Total: $325
Another option is the i5 4570 ($200) and a Gigabyte Z87 UD3H ($160), total $360 but Z87 boards don't offer much over H87 boards if you aren't overclocking.
If you really want overclocking potential:
Intel i5 4670k: $240 (on Newegg right now, normal price is $250)
Gigabyte Z87 UD3H: $160
Total: $400
If you really want the extra streaming performance and can spend more, a 4770k will benefit you over a 4670k although you won't really notice any difference in games
Intel i7 4770k: $340 (normal price $350)
Gigabyte Z87 UD3H: $160
Total: $500
Although with the above set up, I'd personally spend $30 more and go for the UD4H over the UD3H
Edit: If you don't want/can't get a Gigabyte board then pretty much any Asus or MSI motherboard will do you fine at the same price point. Asrock has a bit of a reputation but I haven't really heard anything negative about their newer boards.
