rowrowDoctorMiggyI am grabbing the steam IDs of everyone who is in the group. I will use this as not only your "reservation" but as a list I'll be sending off to Valve for medals when the time comes.Miggy just confirmed by joining the group alone, you get medals.
No.
I'm grabbing the SteamIDs from peeps in the group to reserve the slots. These are put into a spreadsheet that I'll use on the day of the event. The players who don't come will be removed from the spreadsheet. After the event the spreadsheet will be sent off to two awesome valve people.
rowrowJust a heads up to all those who want to register or RSVP for this awesome event, all you need to do is add up to the steam group

Miggy will reserve slots is my understanding for all those who are added to the group. Or you can just post in the group to have yourself reserved. You'd just need to bring the 10 dollars on entry.
This is accurate^

rowrowWebsite looks great, but how soon can we start RSVPing/registering
Join the steam group, anyone who joins will have a spot reserved.
brandbrandif only i didnt live 12 hours from florida, and cheap as hell so i wont buy plane tickets, id watch it if its streamed tho
The event will be casted. I have my list of casters complete but don't want to make any formal announcements until the event date is a little closer in the event that something comes up for one of them.
I don't know what model monitors will be provided.
I also have an update:
We're still locked in on August 16th, but the event that was ran over the weekend made me rethink one detail: Length of Time.
Yea, sure, we can accommodate a large group of people, BUT can we do it all in one day?
The answer is no. The League of Legends tourney ran on Saturday had well over 100 players but ran ridiculously late. I want to keep this as a one day event this year (next year when it's done at a larger venue and with a nicer prize pool I could possibly turn it into a two or three day event).
Therefor I'm going to reduce the total count from 200 players to 100.
Will this affect prize pool money we have currently? No. Will you lose your spot? No.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask, and don't forget to join the group:

Ok hombres,
This will be the site for now. Ran into an annoying issue with what was supposed to be the "real" site that has it delayed for X amount of days.
I tried to make it look as pretty as possible and will continue to update it as time goes on. (For instance, TTRP has yet to send me their logo. Need to add the casters once that list is finalized, etc...)
We have encountered some minor issues with the website and are working to resolve them as soon as possible. I'll have an update by Noon EST.
Looks like the site might be delayed for a day or two.
I made a steam group for those who are interested in coming to join. That way I can just toss up announcements as they come.

I'm not staying long on Saturday, I'm just going to talk to the Kvova Gaming guys. I have no relation with the LoL event so I can't really say how they are going to run things. For the TF2 event I'm trying to save as many "seats" as possible for players, plus $10 is hardly much and it's going to a good cause.
This Saturday there will be a big League of Legends LAN (Not that I play that filthy casual game) at the venue. I will be there with the event coordinators. Come by if you'd like to check it out.
Yes, everything is provided.
Also, I know a lot of people are anal about scripts and huds. More than likely the huds will either be A) Default or B) A single hud across all machines. You are also welcome to bring your scripts on a USB drive.
There is 20 PCs yes, but they have a backroom being redone that will accommodate a LOT more people. It's getting a fresh coat of paint this weekend, I'm headed there on either Saturday or Sunday to see how things are going. I will be taking pics to put on the site.
And yes, you can bring your own mouse/keyboard but remember you are responsible for them
I'm going to be updating the general info on the page later in the morning.
But come Wednesday the company helping me coordinate this event is going to launch their version of the page.
Also, we are expecting to hit maximum capacity of 200 people (Through players I've spoken to via reddit/tftv/ugc friends and through locals). So please RSVP when you can on the new site on Wednesday.
Also, I edited the original post. Looks a lot more presentable now.
Updated original post
final date has been set, August 16th
have a temporary website working, by friday we should have something nicer

Any casters willing to participate? You wouldn't have to travel here, you would be able to connect to the games via STV.
That would be cool. I'll let you know once I get the site up and running.
